There was no chance this was going to be a good bill in an off year election.
But many of those up for re-election voted no (except for one of mine, Dewine).

By design no doubt. They tallied the votes and released those who had to vote one way or the other. Political animals all of them. This has all been one big dog and pony show to get US riled up. The Democrats are no doubt toasting their victory.

So--both parties are just betting this will get hopelessly delayed in the House and then back and forth from the Senate, and nothing will be done on it until after the November election, by which time (they hope) the American people will have forgotten all about it?
To: aligncare
LOL, even though I am not into pretty girls, I do appreciate the levity.

Jeff Sessions said as much the other day on Fox News, yes, it's all BS. He said these guys are counting on the House to bail them out, in the mean time the Senate as appeased who they have to appease. I am watching those who have not had much to say and it's very interesting.

Oh geeze. Hard to understand through all the sobbing.
defcon's right. This thing has no chance passing the House so we shouldn't let it divide us.
I'm with Sean on this one. The House better dump this "comprehensive" bill and QUICKLY pass several single issue bills starting with closing the border.

I know. We all need to relax.

Thanks, it's a very high level game of hot potato. The People's House will swat it back to where it belongs. I will say this however, the first Senator that brings up the saucer analogy is going to get a nasty gram. I don't care who it is.

Maybe, but controlling the country SHOULD NOT be run by the political election calendar. And we were already riled up over this topic. The Minutemen started to make this an issue last year. Since then, people have done some research, have gotten upset and have demanded that the border be secured. It didn't just happen and the Politicians have failed us once again by politicizing this whole Bill.
The House Bill is pretty good with some tweaking. The Senate Bill SUCKS! And the Majority Leader voted FOR it!

Hello,
OK, we are idiots (LOL!), but we had the House pass Enforcement Only, then came the well planned "marches" by illegals and pro-illegals, now this. Seriously, this has blown into one of the most intense fights ~ politically ~ that I have seen in my lifetime. I just find it all very interesting (and pretty scary, not knowing if the House will be strong enough to stand up for us).
Glad to be here, MOgirl

The border was open on 9/12/01 and nobody said a thing. We have never had control of that border, ever. I am not saying that it should not be fixed, it's just that pressuring politicians to do something (NOW) generally results in a disaster. I have very credible information that this goes no where until December. Only time will tell.

I think they will, but after the election. I have been trying to follow the money on those protests and have not found a direct connection to Soros, but several of those 'sponsors' are pretty damn close. Trial balloon? Hmmmmmmmmmm.

So far, as near as I can tell and frankly, most of those people seem to have been manipulated into participating. Not everyone is a political junkie like us. Friend says hey lets cut work and go to a party, you get the idea. I am not even sure I trust the figures. The news has become so bad that how do we know that many really marched? They use camera angles to make it look like more people show up. Remember Camp Sheehan?
