"SOME" of them will be armed. SOME. Not all, but some. Has he run this by W yet?

The real question is..... has anyone run this by Vicente Fox yet, it appears he is the new President of The United States of Mexico.

These Guardsmen are good people -- Americans like their National Guard, just like the rest of their military.
But this deployment smells like a pure publicity stunt.

I wonder if someone has developed the stones to stand up to the reported Mexican soldier/thugs intruding into our territory. Perhaps this is a response to these violations of our border, deploy them up front in the trouble areas, as BP backup elsewhere.

Having lived the past few years on the border I would not want to be down there with out personal protection.
If this Guard thing is done to please the politically correct it will come off as being nothing more than a Cluster Fuc!.
With out protection this would also further drive a wedge between the Hate American First, No Guns crowd of a few Democrats and those who love and want a safe America.
I have noticed that many Hispanics and blacks are speaking out against this S2611 Amnesty bill.

"But we're not going to be carrying machine guns. We're not going to be carrying heavy weapons. We're not at war here,"
But that means they'll be nearby in case you need them, I hope. Especially for those drug runners that do have machine guns and heavy weapons.

Any Guard assigned to South Texas will be be practically bumping into illegals! You don't have to be on the border!

The Mexicans will be shooting across the border with .308's and our guys will be popping back with 9mm's. Sounds like a typical fair Mexican deal to me.

The Senate gave America away yesterday. What good are border troops going to do when the borders will remain open anyway and the invasion will continue, and in fact increase?
The traitors gave our country away yesterday with the full agreement of the President of the United States. I never thought I would live to see this. May they all rot.

News for you Mr. Blum, the M-16 IS a machine-gun!
And likely to be needed too.

Uh, he *is* the outgoing President of Los Estados Unidos de Mexico, which is translated as either the United States of Mexico, or less frequently, The United Mexican States.
