Strange that "implodingcampaign" doesn't call up more news stories. Harris isn't the first and she won't be the last.

This is consistant with all other data being posted on the Florida Senate race. What more is there to say?

The Republican primary seems to be more competitive than the general election.

Nobody has asked me. Who are they polling. Same thing happened when she ran for Congress. November surprise?

She's very beautiful, no doubt about it. It's a shame that she's not a viable candidate.

I don't understand the reasoning for the national and state (R)'s to keep their distance

Wait and see. Irey and Harris are the two long-shot races for conservatives this year. But they aren't lost either.

Unviable candidacy. We'll be lucky if she doesn't drag down 1 or 2 of our Congressmembers, starting with Clay Shaw.

Diana Irey's challenge is to get name recognition. She isn't well-known in the district yet.

Perhaps you missed the other thread which was a poll of just Republicans re: the primary, in which Harris only pulled 37% of the vote AMONG REPUBLICANS.

I'd vote for her just because GWB doesn't want her. That is very telling.

U.S. Rep. Katherine Harris had weak support in a poll released Thursday that includes the three little-known entries in the Republican U.S. Senate primary.

Only 37 percent of respondents said they favored Harris, compared to 13 percent for Will McBride, 4 percent for LeRoy Collins Jr. and 2 percent for Peter Monroe. Her three opponents all entered the race May 12, which was the last day to get on the Sept. 5 primary ballot.

More respondents - 43 percent - didn't choose a candidate. In a head-to-head with Democratic incumbent Bill Nelson, Harris trailed Nelson 58-25.
