Either or both of you...please tell me do you hate Jeb or the President?

I thought Jeb issued a statement or said something to correct himself for saying she can't win. Said it was too soon to say that. Some on this thread have accused the President of being against her. One said he ignored her. I saw a picture of Katherine with the President when he last visited FL. So what's he doing to her...is there something about Karl Rove becoming involved trying to get someone to run against her? Is it possible these three...Jeb, W and Katherine don't want to appear linked together because of what happened in 2000?

Here's where I stand: I support President Bush and feel pretty good but not great about Jeb. At the same time, I have sent money to Katherine Harris, and I live in TX, not Florida. I can like and support them all. So many seem to feel it has to be either/or. Unreal.

I don't understand your lead-off question "Either or both of you.....please tell me do you hate Jeb or the President?"

The answer is no. I love the President, Jeb, Katherine and Free Republic.

I wish a patriotic great Americana weekend to all freepers.

God bless our military.

Unfortunetly I can't vote for her because I live in Massachusettes. but,I have sent money to her campaign so I'm helping her that way.

As far as I am concerned Jeb has turned his back on Katherine. Therefore I do not want to see Jeb in any of her photos. Gov. Jeb Bush ratcheted up his criticism about the foundering U.S. Senate candidacy of fellow Republican Katherine Harris Thursday, saying he was concerned her woes made it difficult for his party to defeat incumbent Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson.

Yeah, Jeb, you and your brother sure aren't helping matters any.

Sorry if I wasn't clear...didn't mean to sound like I'm accusing you of hating them...I really was asking because some of the comments by others indicate they are very angry with and unsupportive of Jeb and the President AND they support Katherine. I was hoping to find a Katherine supporter, which I know you are, who also supports the Bush brothers. Makes me feel not so alone...LOL.

To taxesareforever. Now I understand why you don't want to see Jeb in any of Katherine Harris' photos. Why suck up to those who kick you when your down? or, no Stockholm syndrome here!

My characterization only. For American politicians, George and Jeb are moderate to conservative. They are not the best, but very far from the worst. I like them both, and Katherine Harris too. But the Bush brothers (and father) need a strong supporting cast of conservatives to keep them straight, or they will veer periodically toward the Kerry - Kennedy crowd. Talk about your Stockholm Syndrome! Or, is it the abused spouse syndrome? Both?

I do not hate Jeb or the President. But I am frustrated and disappointed that our GOP Governor would give ammo to the Dems by saying that KH can't win. I'm glad he back pedaled his remark.

Recently, when the President was at MacDill AFB, Rep. Harris was photographed with both of them.

Ever gracious, Harris told a reporter she holds no grudges about the Governor's remarks and that she is working very hard to defeat liberal Nelson who doesn't represent the values of most Floridians.

Thank you for your contribution to Katherine Harris' Senate Campaign.

She is a true conservative and you will be proud to say you helped her become a Senator!

All Americans will benefit from her presense in the US Senate.

They need something to keep them straight and right now there is no one. "Moderate to conservative"? Give me a break. The only thing conservative is judges. How about getting back to what the base wants and support individuals who agree with the base and not people like Specter.

Stockholm syndrome? You certainly lost me there. Guess I don't live close enough to Wash DC to get that one.

>> If Katherine Harris wins the Florida GOP Primary, fair and square, we should all support her run for the U.S. Senate - even if she does not have a great chance of winning ! <<

IF Katherine Harris is nominated, I will shut my trap and wholeheartedly support her in November against the commie RAT Nelson.

That said, I do not believe Katherine Harris EVER SHOULD be nominated because regardless of how conservative she is or how gutsy she was to stand for the rule of law in 2000, because she is simply a lousy candidate whose chance of winning is the slimiest of slim.

While I admire her leadership as Florida Secretary of State, it does not entitle her to a U.S. Senate seat or even to a U.S. Senate nomination. She did win a seat in Congress that she should be perfectly content with. Hell, Bill McCollum's leadership in the Clinton impeachment was far more ballsy than Harris and not only was he refused the Senate nod last time, but many Florida "conservatives" on this board started trashing him as a socialist and a RINO. At least I show Harris more respect than they showed McCollum.

Likewise, the fact I intend to support Harris in the GENERAL election shows alot more dignity and loyalty to the conservative cause than the useful idiots on this board who spent the entire GENERAL ELECTION trashing Alan Keyes every move and pimping for Obama. When you look at the amount of garbage spewed at McCollum and Keyes from fellow conservatives, we're giving Katherine a walk in the park. Sweet lady? Yes. Conservative voting record? Yep. Solid record as SOS? Definitely. Electable or popular? NO WAY.

When some guy like Alan Keyes run a horrible campaign in November, we have NO other options but him so we are obliged to do everything we can to try and salvage his campaign in order to stop a socialist Dem. When candidates like Katherine Harris or Jeanine Pirro poll double-digit negatives and run a horrible campaign in the primary, we are not obliged to "get behind" them and go down with the ship. We are obliged to support another Republican who will be a far stronger candidate against the Democrat.

In the primary, I am supporting Thomas LeRoy Collins Jr. , a decorated retired Navy Officer (will play great with the seniors), and namesake son of very popular, legendary former Governor Thomas LeRoy Collins Sr. I encourage you to do likewise.

As I recall, McCollum endorses the Harris run for senate .

Hey, if anyone went thru hell during the impeachment of Prez Bill Clinton, it was Ken Starr - - he got tarred and feathered worse than Katherine .

Alot of Republicans were targeted by sleaze campaigns by that viper Carville(& Monkey-Boy Begala) under directives from that b!tch Hillary !
