The Congressional Black Caucus races to the race card brink, turns back. Furious black lawmakers, rallying behind Rep. William Jefferson (D-La.), were pulled back from the brink of open revolt against House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) in an emergency meeting with her yesterday. The meeting with a handful of CBC members was called after Pelosi wrote the embattled lawmaker, who is at the center of a massive bribery scandal, a curt note requesting his immediate resignation from the powerful Ways and Means Committee. Outraged that one of its members was being picked on even though he has not been charged with a crime, the Congressional Black Caucus had intended to issue a defiant statement against their leader but agreed after the meeting to pause, at least briefly, for reflection.

I think he's behaving like a typical Dimocrat.
Nasty Nancy drove Tom Lay out over less. Guess there are special rules for her side of the isle.
Oh, wait. Never mind...
Funny
Imagine the number of weak minded people that would be "offended" by the "Congressional White Caucus". Oh the outrage!
To the CBC I say, grow up, stop bitching about what happened 200+ years ago, get with the program that has benefited any group in to the USA that cares to participate. We have many, visible minorities that have done very well in spite of any racist d@#k heads.
Well said,
like the tag line.
A Congressional White Caucus would be racist, wouldn't it? Can't have that!!!!!!
I can't find words. Maybe I'll just have to duct-tape my brain forever. ARRRGGHH!
The CBC, Klan with a Tan. Nothing describes them better then that.
I love to see trouble in the evil donkey's barn.
HA ha... as Nelson would say.
This is a tad off-topic but, have always found it interesting that whenever some type of "event" happens (unfortunately usually negative) the offended group trots out their anecdotal examples of different treatment for offenders of other groups. This is then claimed to be absolute "proof" of discrimination rather then the reflection of individual circumstances. Then when we have "rules" for one of those events that attempt to dictate everything down to what type of toilet paper must be provided in the stalls for use by a suspected offenders, then the offended group demands flexibility based upon the individual circumstances.
The essence of the CBC argument is that Mollihan was not forced to give up his seat on W&M, so why should Jefferson, at least not until he is formally indicted..there is a certain peverse logic in that argument..hehehehehe
:)
