We need to start the recall process on the Senators that are not up for re-election that voted for this bill. Does anybody know the steps needed to get a recall vote listed on a state ballot for November? I would especially like to target Specter (PA) (for sponsoring the bill.
I saw it too, but I believe the vote list to be incorrect.
I do believe your tagline nails the poster of the thread! :)
Have no clue where this person got his voting list but he has not been back to defend it either! Does make one wonder!
LOL -- agenda at play?
I looked at his forum posts (I know I should ping him because I am talking about him) and it seems he's a pharmaceutical salesman... maybe dipping into his product?
LOL! What some people don't realize on here is that some Senators voted the way their 'stupid' constituents wanted them to which is why they are elected. New England Senators except for Sununu continually vote this way and you are not going to defeat them because for some reason the people there like their votes. So glad my daughter is out of Maine and New England for good.
Absolutely. Have you ever wondered who represents the interests of the 50 state governments in Washington? It's not the members of the House of Representatives. They are elected direclty by the people. How about the Senate? No, they are also elected directly by the people ever since the 17th was made law.
State governments have to hire lobbyist to represent them just like any other special interest. States pay dues to groups like the National Conference of State Legislatures and the National Governors' Association. They get in line along with the trade union lobbyist, the ACLU, the big corporations, foreign governments, etc. to prostrate themselves before our royal masters in Washington.
Have you ever wondered why the Senate is so out of touch with the real needs of our country? Why so many federal programs are counter productive at worst, a waste of money at best? Or how the federal government can impose unfunded mandates on State government who then has to increase state taxes to fund it?
If State Legislators still chose the U.S. Senate, our whole nation would be radically different for the better.
OMG! You really shouldn't expose the truth and ruin the fun of ignorant posters here who demand that all RINOS be "recalled" (FOTFLOL) or sent packing come election time, (DeWine won in the primary).
RINOS vote for RINOS. Lord, there's no getting rid of RINOS in the New England states, and we're lucky to have them instead of democrats like Kerry and Kennedy.
Good luck with this thread...lol. I have some chores to do. I'll check back.
virtually impossible to do in Pennsylvania. If it were not so, we would have revolted and kicked Snarlin' Arlen to the curb years ago.
I wouldn't trust state legislatures for doing much better.
I beleive you can find the list at grassroots.com
Sorry, I copied the list from a source on the net that must have been faulty. I apologize.
I copied the list from an earlier list that was posted in a different thread. Didn't know that it was incorrect.
Here's the site with all info as it appears:

"Let's ask him.
WHY did you post a wrong list???
...very misleading and unsettling."
I think he posted the vote from April 7.
Check out this site:

Look at the links to this site also, for additional info.
The really stupid thing about this argument is that if you don't know by now how your Representative or Senator voted by now, you must not care or are too lazy to find out. Good grief people get off your butts and get after these people. Thats how they get away with voting like they did for this bill.
