The Senate is rushing a pro-amnesty bill through, hoping to get it out of the way before too many of their constituents find out what is really in the bill. Some of the provisions have leaked out already and they are enough to make those constituents so mad they wont be likely to support those senators ever again.
We have heard about the Social Security giveaway. That is, if an illegal alien has been working in the country and paying into Social Security, once amnestied the worker would be entitled to collect benefits for himself/herself, even though the worker was here ILLEGALLY. As with American citizens, these benefits would apply to relatives. This would bring up an odd situation of beneficiaries receiving money even if they had never set foot in the U. S. themselves. Actually, by the time an illegal has paid into the system, that worker would have likely broken at least three of our laws. Once, by sneaking into the country without permission, twice, residing here, and three times by working here illegally. It is possible, even probable, that the worker has used a fake I.D., also, However, with the proposed amnesty, all would be forgiven.
All sorts of penalties have been cited to deny an amnesty has occurred. The worker would have to pay back taxes. However, this bill would allow the worker to pay only three years taxes out of five. How many citizens would like a deal such as that? It seems favoritism to illegals is the Senates main quest.

To deny that this bill is amnesty, those who favor it say that certain penalties would be exacted before an illegal could get amnesty. One such penalty is that the illegal would have to pay a small fine of perhaps $2,000, One years claim of the Earned Income Tax Credit would pay that off, leaving the worker to stay here and continue to earn money, now legally.
Senator Jeff Sessions, who seems to be one of only a few senators paying attention to the results of this giveaway bill, says that the Congressional Budget Office estimates that if S.2611 passes, the government would be required to pay $29.4 billion in refundable tax credits over the first ten years. He says that this expenditure, which includes the EITC and child tax credits, represents the biggest outlay in the bill.
Article concludes...........
Who or what interests do your senators serve? Are they listening to the estimated 80% of polled people who say to stop the invasion? Are they considering your best interests when they allow massive immigration to continue? Who are they representing when they are willing to give away Social Security benefits to those who broke our laws? Are they listening to you, a citizen, who is saying No amnesty, no way, nohow, no matter what you call it?
Now is the time for constituents to be telling their senators, loud and clear:
Today you vote. Tomorrow WE vote.
So, let's all become Hispanics amnesty seekers!
The one thing that shows wahat a fartce this is is the list of the DEMOCRAT senators who voted against it..all of whom are up for re-election..
The House has this issue right, and if they don't kill this galctically ridiculous pile of dung masquerading as legislation in conference, there's gonna be a bloodbath in November.
only one of the pubbies that voted for this farce is up for reelection
Dewine (OH)
hey hey hey......goodbye
I tan very well. I could do it.
DeWine has already won the primary in Ohio and will be the Repub candidate.
It's either him or a democrat. Once in power in Ohio, it is extremely tough to get a senator out. We had extreme liberal Metzenbaum for years and years wreaking his socialist havoc on the rest of the nation. We had "moderate" John Glenn, a hero, until he chose to leave.
I'll not be party to giving the Senate seat in Ohio to a democrat. There is no 3rd party candidate I'd even begin to consider. Besides they would have absolutely ZERO chance of winning.
Too bad Blackwell didn't run for Senate. Too bad Kasich didn't challenge DeWine.
You won't need to tan. Just show up and say you want to sign up for amnesty, that you have no documentation, and you've been in the USA longer than two years. Voila, you're suddenly on the gravy train!
INDEED. Where is our Howard Beale??????
I've called the offices of both my Tennessee Senators - Frist and Alexander - and was basically told to go piss up a rope. Neither will ever get another vote from me.
It seems that the Senate is determined to do all it can to cause violence of some sort or another against American citizens.
DeWine will lose in November and Blackwell will win in a landslide. That will send a shot across the bow of those who think a right center republican party is what we want.
When the seat is up again Blackwell will make a perfect senator on his way to the whitehouse.
DeWine's opponent, Sherrod Brown, voted against the House bill.
DeWine is on the Taft country-club team, so you're probably right. He'll probably go down.
Incumbency is real important in Ohio, though, for some reason.
I'll not write DeWine off just yet. We'll be able to tell from the polls 2 months before the election.
If I were Black, I would be terrified of Hispanic Political power.
What a great idea. Thanks!!
oh well he is quickly becoming "the example to be made".....mark my words . he will lose come november
ps if its so hard to get rid of an incumbent in OH then the pro dewine folks have nothing to worry about
Wanna bet that the 'Pubbies that voted for the bill (less than half of 'em) are NOT up for election this year?
Only 20 of the 50+ 'Pubbie senators voted for this piece of muerte. McCain and his friends should pay price.
But they won't.
