This is one of the primary stepping stones to the destruction of our nation as we know it.

Funny, all the "gimmes" stated come from us. So not only has the Senate done nothing practical and much harmful, but they're now taking our money and handing it to illegals!

Man that boils my blood!

Meanwhile, they talk about illegals "paying thier taxes" as if it's some sort of penalty. Well, if so, then why are we "being penalized!"

I honestly wish there was a "smartbomb" like in the video game Defender where we could just wipe out the entire Congress and start over.

I think the best thing would to be pass NO immigration bill especially the stark diffrences between the House & Senate. We would probably get the worst from both. Free pass to illegals with the restrictions on civil rights on ordinary Americans such as the Driver License Agreement (DLA) that was left out of the Real ID Act (a bad law in itself concerning DL's). The DLA is in the House version - tri-national driver database with Canada & Mexico.

I was told by my former Congressman, Chris Cox, that the special interest groups around certain "leaders" write most bills.

Right. But I would like to know, for instance, who wrote his 1965 Immigration Act bill. Why? Because I would like to know what happened to those people...Did they "graduate" into greater positions of power within their respective organizations? Did they just stay "good soldiers" and toil away in obscurity? Were the authors of the original bill recognizable NOW, as known enemies of the US, as opposed to BACK THEN, when we weren't equipped to root out the enemy within.

My guess is that the authors of the 1965 Immigration Act knew full well what they were doing, and that the authors of today's bill are less notorious, and getting inspiration from "outside" sources.

I have tried to find Jeff Sessions Campaign site so I can contribute to him. I am coming up empty. Can anyone help???

As far as I'm concerned, he is the only one worthy of my campaign cash.

There are hundreds and hundreds of these special interest groups. I would guess that most employees are true believer lifers.

Spend their careers doing studies, practicing special interest law, lobbying, writing bills and testifying before Congress and various commissions.

These leaches probably change groups and even enter government at times. Look at Ben-Veniste's career for example.

Now I know why Bush pushed so hard to have specter win in the primaries. He would have lost without Bush flying in to campaign for him.

It was all about this immigration fight. GWB, Rove or whoever is calling the shots had it all figured out.

Probably the one who wrote the insane Senate bill that just passed.

“A previously unnoticed provision in [the Senate] legislation would disarm America’s state and local police in the war against terrorism,” writes former counsel to the Attorney General Kris Kobach in a new Heritage paper.

Several of the hijackers involved in the September 11th terrorist attacks were in violation of immigration law by overstaying tourist visas. Even when they were briefly detained for violations like speeding, police did not probe their status and did not discover that they were in breach. Had they been arrested, the murders in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania may have been avoided.

After the terrorist attacks, it became clear that if future attacks are to be stopped, law enforcement must do more to arrest and deport those who are in breach of their visas. State and local police stepped up their efforts, doubling the number of arrested illegal aliens by 2005.

But the Senate bill would undo all of this, Kobach reports. If the bill becomes law, state and local police would not be able to arrest anyone for civil violations, which includes visa overstays. “Afraid of arresting the wrong type of illegal alien—and getting sued as a result—many police departments will stop helping the federal government altogether,” they explain.

Congress must remember that immigration and border security reform is fundamentally about national security."

Mexico owns us now and they know it. Wait until all of you see the true attitude of Mexicans when they feel they're dominant. It is unbelievably hardcore and cruel. So many people here in the U.S. do not have a clue.
