in retaliation for the Abu Ghraib prisoner-abuse scandal.

In other words, Bush's Fault™

There's an idea. Just fill in the WTC holes with dead terrorists. :P

right, that's a theme of the defense in all these terror cases. As with Sammi Al Arian - they try and get the jury (they only need one or two holdouts) to put Bush on trial in these cases, as opposed to the defendant. And it works sometimes, but not with a NYC jury.

Poor man, he's obviously suffering from Sudden Jihad Syndrome. He needs medication and counseling, not prison.

Yes, the guy convicted today was an illegal. Came here in 1997 to visit his mother and never left. (If you believe this. There were hints that he had been here in 1995 as well.)

Damn shame that NY doesn't have execution by firing squad as an option any more.

That would make it a TRUE memorial.

Not a chance. DA Morgenthau has had the death penalty for a long time now but never, ever uses it. There is 0, zip, nada, no chance that he would have here.

Mohammed Atta would not get the death penalty in NYC.

or, in the new tower, have a pig petting zoo (with 72 virgin sows), and the convicted terrorists are sentenced to shovel pig sh*t all day. =P

"The undercover, who testified using an alias, described being plucked straight out of the police academy in 2003 and given orders to become a "walking camera" among Muslims. He recalled a conversation on the second anniversary of the 2001 destruction of the World Trade Center in which Siraj "complimented" Osama bin Laden."

This is smart police strategy. We need some more peeps in the mosques, however.

Siraj, 23, as an impressionable simpleton

Is that his IQ?

Or is he just average among those who actually believe what the MSM feeds them.

Abou Ghraib "scandal"?
What scandal? No scandal

Of course you don't remember....the MSM has been too busy trying to convict President Bush of lying, starting the war for oil...any excuse they could find.

But, do they tell this story....maybe on the 34th page of Section B.

I prefer firing squad or hanging instead of the 20th century innovations.
