Final curtain for Bush and Blair
BBC News website ^ | 24 May 2006 | Paul Reynolds

When Tony Blair and George Bush meet at the White House for dinner on Thursday, they will be contemplating the beginning of the end of a relationship that has seen their policies dominate the world scene but which have left them weakened at home for their final years in office. In one of its perhaps less elegant wordplays, the Economist magazine declared that the two now constituted as "an axis of feeble."

the Economist magazine declared that the two now constituted as "an axis of feeble."

If they are so feeble why wont the terrorists stand and fight?

Despite my disagreements with Blair over his domestic positions, these two members of the "axis of feeble" may someday be viewed VERY differently. Only time will tell.

Is this an op-ed or is the BBC pretending this is News rather than Opinion?

Their common cause in Iraq has not delivered the success they believed was assured.

...at the height of the ultimately successful war against Serbia by Nato over Kosovo.

Liberals are so obvious, unable to grow a pair, they rewrite history instead.

British troops have stood beside ours throughout the War on Terror. Thank you, Mr. Blair and all British armed forces. It was and is right to join the fight.

According to the MSM.

And, in Blair's case, nearly everyone else. He's facing a backbench rebellion, a revitalised Tory party and a discontented electorate. Few ducks have ever been lamer. The only problem is that Brown will be even worse.

How is Bush simultaneously weak and worse than Hitler? How is this weakened President destroying the world and America so bad that "the world can't wait?"

When you stack up the lib/MSM rhetoric side by side, it cancels itself out.

To win in '06/08, simply let the libs/MSM speak non stop. Then put some of their clips side by side and display the absurdity.

The world would have been in a far worse state than it is if these two hero's hadn't stood up against every obstacle thrown at them.

I agree he only got his education bill through because the Conservatives voted with the government whilst the Labour back benchers ether did not turn up or voted against the bill.

Bush should count his blessings....unlike Blair, he does not have to PAY for a drive-by MSM to kneecap him
