Please be in prayer for our LadyX. She will be undergoing surgery tomorrow morning(5/24/06). Any of you who know LadyX, know that she has been a member of our FR Family for a long time and is very much loved and respected. She has inspired us, made us laugh, given us some of the wisest of advice, wowed us with tales of her life in the Marines, and shared her childhood memories of an idealic time. Some will recall the sailing of the Mobius, or the time on the tropical island. We have shared many adventures. Now, it's time to let her know how much she is loved.
Post your prayers, encouragements, jokes, pictures or memories, so she will have them to read when she gets back home.
Continuing prayers sent.
OMG Nan, I can't believe I missed this thread! Prayers going up immediately for our beloved LadyX, I'm so sorry to hear this.
Prayers up!
No matter what Marines always find a way to overcome, improvise, and adapt; have faith in the strength of hers given from our Father above and his guidance of the Doctors hands to do his will.
Life is a balancing act, for sure, and you just have to start over every day - several times a day. Glad I'm not wired to be ruffled and upset over every trivial thing as many are. Patience pays off, and with His help, I'm able to take things in stride.
Never understood those who are ruled by 'tempers' - a sure sign of insecurity, and 'self.' Anger stems from unforgiveness for past hurts, and an 'Everything revolves around ME' Attitude..... If you seek His help and remain calm, looking for His guidance, you can get through All Things....
I pray the healing mercies of our Lord Jesus Christ would flow over Maggie, and that He would bless her and her family with peace and grace for every need in this time of trial.
Lord, send Your Spirit and holy angels to fill that hospital room, to help the medical staff, and strengthen the family.
Good night all.
My prayers for LadyX and her family continue...
Please FReepmail me if you want on or off my miscellaneous ping list.
Please use your ping lists...
Nan, thank you.....
The thing that I pray that each of us reading this learns, is to strive for the faith in God that Maggie has.
She's been given a cross to bear, and in my humble opinion, has bore it well.
Her Lord is proud of her. He DOES have her in the palm of His hand.
Whooooooooooo boy.
Thanks again.
Dear Lord,
You know our hearts.
Please watch over Maggie and her family as the doctors, nurses and caregivers tend to her needs.
Your will be done.
In Jesus' Holy name.
Amen.
Dang. Prayers up...
The one you have portraying LadyX, really does look quite a bit like her, IMHO. A picture of a younger her for y'all's comparison.
Maggie Marine will continue in my thoughts, as will her son Rodger.
Now you had to go and make a grown man, an old one, cry. (Probably a bunch of us actually)
Hugs to the Termite!
Wish I could have met up with him when I was in Houston for the TC memorial shoot. Maybe next time.
God has managed to drag me kicking and screaming down the road to maturity. How can I say that?
Because I am, finally, thankful.
Praise Him for His patience and power!
Nan thank you so very much for sharing Maggies wisdom in this post & the corageous words following her diagnosis 3 years ago.
We never have enough time with those we love on this earth, do we? We are fortuanate that Maggie shared so much from her heart that will be her legacy. In years ahead when people look back on her posts to see what "manner of woman is this?" they will be blessed.
Much more than many posters here will be able to claim. Words of contempt & venom will not be pretty memorials will they?
I KNOW you are in a knot! thinking of you warmly & prayers for both of the sistahs!
Amen.
