Please be in prayer for our LadyX. She will be undergoing surgery tomorrow morning(5/24/06). Any of you who know LadyX, know that she has been a member of our FR Family for a long time and is very much loved and respected. She has inspired us, made us laugh, given us some of the wisest of advice, wowed us with tales of her life in the Marines, and shared her childhood memories of an idealic time. Some will recall the sailing of the Mobius, or the time on the tropical island. We have shared many adventures. Now, it's time to let her know how much she is loved.
Post your prayers, encouragements, jokes, pictures or memories, so she will have them to read when she gets back home.

I have forgotten her son's Freeper name. He hasn't been here for a long time. I received an e-mail from him that I will post.
Good morning, I just spoke with Mom and I wanted to give you an update (or at least as much as I know presently). She is in ICU following her second surgery yesterday. It was scheduled to be an hour surgery, but lasted six hours. They attempted vein grafting to save her right leg. The nurse told me this morning that they don’t have a pulse in her leg this morning, unfortunately, but I don’t think mom knows that yet.
Her spirits are up (as usual). Because of her pain medicine, she’s gotten more sleep in the last two nights than she has in months, she told me. Her pain is controlled and they’re trying to keep her blood sugars up. She continues to fight the good fight. If they can’t restore blood flow to her leg, she’ll likely need a third surgery to remove it. She’s waiting for her doctor to come by to decide.
I told her about the latest FR thread supporting her in prayer and in love and she was very moved and appreciative (as am I). She has been so pleased and honored to have felt God’s loving touch move through her pained and deteriorating body to allow her to lift the spirits of others, and I believe she has received much in return from those of you so dear to her.
Will try to keep you posted. Could you please give me your phone number in case I need to reach you more quickly or am not near a computer? Also, I don’t think she’d mind your sharing the above update with her friends.

Thank you for the update, Nan, but like you, it wasn't the news we wanted to hear. Will wait for further news after surgery today.
I sent FR mail to her. So glad to hear her son is taking our notes to Maggie. If we can give her even one tiny bit of strength through our prayers and love, we must continue to let her know.

I'm not liking the silence. I keep hoping and praying for a call saying that she is doing okay. so far....nothing.

I am praying for you and I know how much faith you have. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Hang tough, Marine. I know you are.
Lord Jesus, it is not Your will that Your people should suffer. And yet, I remember so well how You took on suffering for us all. Keep me now from losing hope as I face once again my infirmity. I feel the pain and ask of God, "Let this cup pass from me."
As I kneel with You in the garden, may I welcome another day with a prayer that echoes yours: "Not my will but Thine be done." Let me never forget how to laugh, for laughter is Your gift to me to undo depression and heal the hurt of a sickness I cannot control. Then I will gladly walk Your way, to join in Your sacrifice of love, and I will not dwell upon the pain that leads my thoughts away from You.
Take me into Your gentle embrace, for I know that whatever this day brings, You have paved my way with Your tears and redeemed me with Your victory. Amen.
