Thanks for the update Nan.
God Bless Maggie and the family and prayers that things will be better at the nursing home this time.
prayers
Move through her Caregivers, O Loving Lord, to Help Maggie in her Recovery, through Your Name. Dear Papa-Father, how our Heart's Love our Sister, and Want her Back in our Midst. Please Grant it Soon, O Father our King; Restore her to us, through Your Love.
In the Name of Jesus Christ, and through Your Grace we Pray, amen.
Amen.
How very lovely. Amen.
That is such a lovely picture, Kitty. My church is praying for Sistah, and asking for reports on her status. May she continue to progress with each day.
Sunday prayers are being offered for Maggie and her family.
Father, hear our prayers.
Great News! Miss Victoria Sends her Red White an Blue greetings to WVNan and her Sistah, LadyX
This one was taken Today, July 02. It was rainy and a bit cool in Austin. Miss V's Mommy is a mite overprotective at times. :) The picture was taken in front of the alcove, which always has a topical theme, just inside the door of her house.
... but something went wrong somewhere.
But she had fun trying! :)
{We Love you, Dearest Maggie!}
Thank you for including me in your prayer-bump, dear one. God bless and heal our beloved Lady.
We just had a fence put in around a yard the size of your living room so Miss Em will have a safe place to play (with me sitting there watching her. Ha. I spread 15 big bags of red mulch on Friday to put her swing set on. Overprotective? Nawww.
Seeing is believing, and I've seen her walk, a bit more than La Profesora Gata has, I think. She'll walk the entire length of the house when she's pushing the footstool, or her "car". Just needs a bit more confidence, but I saw her walk the length of my queen size couch, without support.
Yes, I do remember that song. Vaguely, about like I remember everything these days.
UPDATE:
Tried to call Maggie using her cell phone number and got DaBear instead. He said that when he got to the Rehab Center this morning they told him that Maggie was disoriented this morning. He went in to see her and he said she was NOT disoriented. Perfectly lucid. Several other things have happened to make him suspect that the center is trying to steer the family into leaving Maggie there permanently. He had a talk with Maggie and they set things in motion to get her home this Thursday. The way he put it, "Maggie and I started trouble this morning." LOL.
FWIW, I agree with DaBear. Maggie will do better at home. He said when they decided to bring her home, he saw the glint back in her eyes. She needs to be at home regardless. I don't blame her or him for wanting her home, whatever the outcome. He says the food is terrible at that place and he wants to cook for her. He's a good cook.
Then I called Maggie on the land line. We talked briefly and cried together. deadhead, she received the package and is so grateful. I don't know whether she is able to read it or not, but just knowing that you took the time to download and printout all of the prayers, warmed her heart. I told her that everyone sends their love and a big "THANK YOU" to our Marine. She said, "That is so wonderful." I could tell that she was feeling better by knowing that she was going home. When I told her that I had talked to DaBear and he told me the news, she said, "Isn't that wonderful?"
I think getting the package, the prospect of going home, and my call has made her Independence Day more meaningful. Thank you, all of you, for keeping her in prayer. God bless you all.
BTTT
Deadhead, thank you for printing out this thread and sending it to her. That was so nice of you to do. I hope it lifts her spirits to know how much we love her. :-)
