I didn't know that about the mikes; thanks for the information.
I also notice C-SPAN is labelling the questioners. I don't know if they have always done that...seems like they didn't used to. I think that is a good thing as well.
I agree, he is doing a fantastic job. I have also noticed that the President is starting to be on TV a bit more, and I wonder if Tony is also responsible for that.
I am just checking in briefly ...I had a long day and need some sleep. Thanks for the pictures, GretchenM!

Thank you! It's a modification of a comment I made on the "Essential" thread today, and someone said it would make a good tagline.
I don't change mine often, but I thought I'd carry this one around for a while.

I think the questioners should always have their names on the screen. Am glad to hear cspan is doing that.

Hi Gretchen! First of all, thanks so much for the time you put into the Dose. It's very much appreciated and enjoyed. :)
I get really ugly headaches when I eat apples. Took me quite a while to figure that out. I mean, who suspects apples of being toxic to one's system?
Apples have a detoxifying effect, so I wonder if the headaches you get from eating them aren't a sign that the apples are cleaning toxins from your system. If so, that's a good thing, even tho I know headaches are NOT fun to have. I get WAY too many of my share of them also. :(

Which Mayflower ancestors? (Maybe we're related...) Off the top of my head,
John Howland, (married another M passenger, Elizabeth Tilley,) and her parents, John and Joan Tilley, Francis Cooke and Henry SAmson.
I'd have to dig into my family files for any further...

I posted a few pics on the 5/15 dose, I believe. I was in DC that evening, and had i/n access. Hubby and I spent Mon & Tues in DC (walked every inch of it), then rented a car and went thru Georgetown, down to Alexandria old town, toured Mount Vernon, then, on to Williamsburg. Stayed in a B&B for 2 days, (walking on bloody stubs by that time), and toured Jamestown, then drove up to Baltimore. Flew home. Whew, what a whirlwind trip. It was FABULOUS. The architecture and the trees were to die for, and I saw my first cardinal flying around Jamestown Island. Here's a pic, just for you...

"Tony as far as talk radio is concerned was never in the league of a Rush. He always seemed like too nice a guy to play hardball. But Tony has turned out to be the best ever press secretary." I've listened to Tony's radio show, every day, faithfully for the past year. I found it to be far and above the best out there for get to the heart of the issue, and discussing it RATIONALLY. (In point of fact, it's been a hard habit to break, but I did not go back to listening to Ingraham.)
I have never been so excited to see a press sec appointed.
