Human Events Online ^ | 5-22-06 | Jerome R. Corsi

The idea to form the North American Union as a super-NAFTA knitting together Canada, the United States and Mexico into a super-regional political and economic entity was a key agreement resulting from the March 2005 meeting held at Baylor University in Waco, Tex., between President Bush, President Fox and Prime Minister Martin.

We will establish a common approach to security to protect North America from external threats, prevent and respond to threats within North America, and further streamline the secure and efficient movement of legitimate, low-risk traffic across our borders.

Tell me exactly what advantage Meico and Canada would give the US in protecting North America. We have all the fire power needed, thank you.

Why?

Canada's GDP is less than 1/12 that of the US. Mexico is similar.

In 5 years we will likely have grown economically as much as Canada and Mexico combined would add...

And I don't see any upside to having our currency tied to Canada's much less Mexico's.

Canada's GDP per capita is similar to ours.

Regardless, none of this going to happen.

"The intent is for this North American Union Tribunal would have supremacy over the U.S. Supreme Court on issues affecting the North American Union, to prevent U.S. power from “irritating” and retarding the progress of uniting Canada, Mexico, and the U.S. into a new 21st century super-regional governing body."

You really seem to think this whole thing can be created without any more congressional action and wholly within government bureaucracy.

No, I think we'll get congressional action and the amnesty that isn't amnesty is the first step.

Heavens, Having insomnia this past week has least been instructive. I think the folks that push this illegal issue must work in shifts and stuff like this is marketed to engage the Art Bell crowd that is on the computer at this time.

Really does anyone actually believe this. The Amero? Human events is getting more wacky everyday

[Robert]Pastor was a vice chairman of the CFR task force that produced the report “Building a North American Union.”

Pastor also proposed the creation of a Permanent Tribunal on Trade and Investment with the view that “a permanent court would permit the accumulation of precedent and lay the groundwork for North American business law.” The intent is for this North American Union Tribunal would have supremacy over the U.S. Supreme Court on issues affecting the North American Union, to prevent U.S. power from “irritating” and retarding the progress of uniting Canada, Mexico, and the U.S. into a new 21st century super-regional governing body.

OK folks, can you say "New World Order" yet?

Remember whose daddy said it first!

If this "Tribunal" has authority over the USSC, just where do you think that will leave the RKBA in the long run?

The USSC is bad enough without world and regional courts to warp, twist, and discard our Constitution.

If we are to survive as a nation, this has to be stopped.

This is more CFR crap, and they have been pulling strings in D.C. for too d@mned long.

Not that similar.

Canada's per capita GDP (PPP) is $32,900.

The US per capita GDP (PPP) is $42,000.

Mexico's per capita GDP (PPP) is $10,100.

Read the article. The CFR made the plan public. It isn't much of a conspiricy if they are talking about it to the press.

Are they fighting themselves?

This makes me think of a commercial suggsesting a harsh penalty for some some slicks from NEW YORK CITY who were marketing an inadequate sauce for dipping your corn chips in. It would not be prudent to quote here what those angry cowboys said.

Memo to Tony Snow

Subject: Compensation

Yo, Tony!

I am sure you have a good package. BUT, I hope you have some kind of deal to be compensated for OT, even though you are salaried.

The OT in this job could be a killer.
