It may appear conservatism/Americanism is losing, however we are just spooling out rope by the yard. When the end of the line gets here, there's gonna be a lot of boots swinging!
Have patience, have faith, we're only allowing the inmates to believe they are running the asylum!
great read Ping
Did anyone else hear Condi Rice this morning? In much more diplomatic words this is what she said.
To paraphrase Micheal Moore, honored guest at the DNC convention "there is no terrorist threat".
The left has NO WILL to fight this battle. They prefer to pretend it doesn't exist. Any incidents would fall under Kerry's "tolerable" level of terrorism.
I just looked and found the transcript of Condi Rice on FoxNews today.
Transcript: Secretary Rice on 'FOX News Sunday'

"But I would ask this. If we do close down Guantanamo, what becomes of the hundreds of dangerous people who were picked up on battlefields in Afghanistan, who were picked up because of their associations with Al Qaeda? We do have an obligation, the president has an obligation, to also keep America and, by the way, many of our allies safe by making certain that people don't return to the battlefield."
My suggestion
Send Troops who have just returned from Iraq, Afghanistan...etc out to give speeches/interviews. I'm not thinking so much Generals but lower ranking personal.
We were hit after 9-11. We had a domestic anthrax attack.
Now either the attacker is dead. Captured. Ran out of anthrax. Or fearful of being caught.
I dont know if the Democrats want to see Voctory or not, but they definitely dont want to see it under the Bush administration and are prepared to do anything it takes to prevent it.
Unfortunately the media would bury that news.
Price: Troops' Morale In Iraq Is High
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1628408/posts
"My job was to try to cheer the soldiers up. But in most cases, they didn't need it.
It was an amazing experience. I went to Iraq looking to raise morale. But in the end, it was the soldiers who had done that for me."
Price observed to a Pfc. Meyer, "A lot of folks would say this is awful. You folks have to be here for so long. Is it hard?"
"It's hard being away from your family," Meyer admitted, "but we have a really tight group, and every day I wake up smiling. I'm happy to be here doing what we're doing. I really am; really excited about being here."
In base after base, Price said, most troops had a clear sense of mission.
Sgt. Mark Massey, an Army vehicle commander, is on his third tour. "They don't really hate us as much as we think they do," he told Price. "That's something I'm proud of, that I volunteered to train these Iraqis, because I got to see the culture and I got to see how these real people operate not what you see on TV."
She was on her game today.
Also this may come as a suprise but John McCain was on also. I was so suprised, you so seldom see him on tv.
I agree the driveby media would try and bury it, I'm thinking more local tv/papers/High Schools/Colleges...etc
Returned troops have been speaking at schools and organizations for a few years. The media had buried it, but thousands of children have heard them.
The tragedy is we have a President that is unable to use words to persuade. He is either tongue tied, or believes that the way he is taking is right. Either way, in Biblical parlance, Moses(GW), needs to find his voice, or let his Aaron loose(Cheney or Rice?), whomever that will be.
Then We'll win.
Excellent post!
Excellent article!
Right on the money.
What a great article. This guy GETS it! I wish more republicans would speak out like this. Our congresscritters are such wimps. I used to be ashamed to be a democrat. Now I'm ashamed to be a republican! Argghhh.
Bump to save
It gets even better when one considers that the democrats only strongholds on elections are cities. Hell, a few millon city dwellers nuked could alter National Politics forever. Let's see... Chicage - hum, Illionis goes Republican in Presidential Race... New York, Boston, LA, SF, Seattle... too close to call but hit nuff cities and no more democrat presidents.
I have often wondered why Republicans run and hide or try to act like Democrats when we are in the right.
