Let's trade the Democrats for Lieberman.
Dems get Arlen Specter, free and clear.
Republicans get Joe Lieberman.
Lieberman - who cares. He's another DeomcRat at his core. No big lose. In fact, the Dims lose seniority if they boot him.
Sounds more like you're getting Casey for Santorum.
As much as I like Joe's support for the liberation of Iraq, he is still a Democrat, and I would rather have a Republican challenger face Lamont than Lieberman in the general election.
Is there something wrong wirh Connecticut? Whether it is more than expected or not, 33% anywhere else is still a failure.
You think if Joe isn't nominated, he would jump ships? Prolly not. Run as an independent?
"wiener-shaped balloons."
Oh my.
"Let's trade the Democrats for Lieberman."
Never...While he gives the impression of a sane individual, he did nothing when the Dem lawyers were trashing military votes down in Florida. I won't forget....
Can we at least give them Arlen Specter?
Who's running on the Republican side in this? Could be an opportunity here for them.
Lieberman's only appeal for us Republicans is his staunch support of the War on Terror. Other than that, he's a lib to the core. But the dems are going to throw him under the bus just because he supports national security - what does that say about them?
It appears that Lieberman is in the Council on Foreign Relations. That will hurt, not help the Republican party.
Hmm.
Says to me that Democrats are intolerant even reactionary, and that their so-called party, lacks diversity.
Dems eat their own. Republicans may yell and scream at each other when emotions get riled, but Democrats are just flat out ruthless when one of theirs strays off the plantation.
I'm hoping the Republicans in South Carolina are just as ruthless when Lindsay Graham seeks reelection next year.
Correction seeks reelection in 2008
the good thing about Liberman is that, even when you disagree with him, you respect him. Liberman don't engage in demonizing people he disagree with.
