Cronkite lost his last big battle. Reagan beat Carter. He was ticked, but he had been a Ted Kennedy guy earlier that year.

Mapes held to her announcement that her source was "impeccable". Since when is a mental hospital patient who admits having at least 3 mental breakdowns and who is a rabid Bush hater "impeccable"?

They can put Perky Katie or the Clintoon on every night, and their audiences will continue to shrink, and their ad $'s will continue shrink.
Most of us had left the Nightly DNC Lies/Spins posing as the evening news, before Rather/Mapes Gate happened. Now we have joined by more moderates and younger people.
