Conservatives, nationwide are getting angry about the loss of principle by GOP'ers in office. Big spending in Washington and Sacramento. The inability to control illegal aliens. Failure to protect jobs and the failure to stop the social agenda of liberals in our schools in finally causing conservatives to say NO to GOP incumbents, even if it means we could lose seats in a legislative body. The thought is simple, why protect a Republican running for office if their voting record will differ little from the Democrats.
In Utah, GOP Congressman Chris Cannon could not win his Parties endorsement for re-election--his opponent got more votes in Convention then he did.
In Nebraska, Congressman tom Osborne, and legend in the state, was defeated for the nomination for Governor due to his weak stand on illegal aliens.
In Heardon, Virginia, five incumbent city council members lost re-election due to their creation of a "Day Labor Center" for illegal aliens.
In the California 50th Congressional District Special Election, the Democrat is ahead of the Republican, since the Republican has been portrayed as more liberal than many Democrats--has even supported Democrats in the past.
But, Pennsylvania last Tuesday should have been the two by four to every GOP candidate and office holder in the nation. At least 14 incumbent GOP office holders, including the top two in the State Senate were defeated in a Republican primary, by Republicans. The good news is that if they had not been defeated, many GOP voters would have stayed home in November. This is a lesson for us in California, and the nation, GOP voters have had enough of Republicans acting like Democrats. Our candidates need to stand for GOP principles, then vote and govern that way once in office.
No longer will GOP voters settle for, "well at least they have a "R" after their name." There is a revolt going on in GOP ranks and it is moving across the nation.
If you think that Specter wanted those judges, you are clearly delusional and don't know Arlen Specter.
Specter despises Christian, pro life conservatives. He doesn't share our worldview. He is a nasty, lying, duplicitous, self serving, big government loving, baby killing, gun grabbing, tax and spend liberal. But you, in your lunacy, claim that he really, really wanted these men.
Unbelievable. You don't have a clue at all, yet you say that I am making things up.
A rooster voting for a RINO has an excuse. You don't.
Well, maybe you do.
Sometimes I vote Constitution or Libertarian. In last Tuesday's primary, I voted a write in for Senate because Santorum was running unopposed. Oh, I'll vote for him in the general, but he's just ticked me off so much lately, I wanted to send him a message.
That is encouraging to hear.
Years ago, I had a fair amount of contact with Cuban immigrants and found the same thing you did, but that was 25 years ago and these folks were fleeing communism. I hope that your experience is not an aberration.
Still undecided. Russ is a possiblity unless I learn of something that would definitely disqualify him. I also like Hagan Smith of the CP. Neither of these men have a good chance of winning, but so far Swann has not given me a reason to support him. He is tied too closely with the crew that we just bounced on Tuesday. Perhaps if he gives us more than platitudes and can prove that he isn't a puppet of the corrupt GOP machine, he can still earn my vote.
Rendell does deserve another term, but it should be served in a federal penitentiary.
To quote a predominant somebody: "I would sooner vote for Al-Qaeda than vote for a Democrat".

Well, it may be one and the same -- if the Dems get into power, they will destroy our ability to fight the war on terror.
Democrats signal oversight of Bush would increase. Probes by Congress may be in the cards

Michigan Democrat Rep. John Conyers Jr.'s Web site features his call for investigations of the U.S. invasion of Iraq and President Bush's authorization of wiretapping without court warrants.
Conyers says either could justify Bush's impeachment or censure.
It is one of numerous demands by frustrated Democrats, out of power in Congress for several years, for investigations of the Bush administration.
But with the growing prospect that they could regain control of at least the House in the November elections, Democratic leaders are signaling that they intend to increase oversight of the White House if they win a majority and use their subpoena power to put the administration on the griddle.
House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi of California has indicated that high energy prices, faulty intelligence used to justify the Iraq war and the National Security Agency's surveillance program would be investigated.
This is very heartening. Yea for all the workers making it possible.
Praise God--hope.
Much needed to read this after hearing FOX's Judge Nap. . . on C2CAM about his book about the violations of the Constitution so rampant in our era.
Your comments regarding Specter and Thomas are true, but not exactly accurate.
Thomas was nominated in the year leading up to the primary and he needed the GOP behind him or he'd have been tossed. Defending Thomas as he did was a bold stroke and he did a great job.
The rest of the story is that he apologized to his base for about a year after that when Thomas took the Constitutional path. Specter expected him to fall into line.
As to Alito and Roberts, he couldn't stop them so he tried to delay them in the hopes that something devastating would derail the,
The key to Specter is to remember that he is only with us when we don't need him. If it looks like Specter is doing the right thing, look again. If it doesn't benefit Specter, he doesn't do it.
He is a masterful and crafty politician, but he is not our friend. He never was and never will be.
If the only two viable choices are someone who will punch me in the nose 24/7 and someone who will only do so eight hours a day, I'll take that small break for now and work for something better in the future.

Awful choices abound. But I think that bears repeating.
Thanks.
I agree.
And even the chance that we can get more conservative judgeships is worth it vs raging Marxist Machiavellian globalist traitors as judges. That's a significant difference with lasting impact.
I hope Newt runs. I'd sure prefer him over McChurian or Gulliani.
But part of me wonders if he's some kind of trojan horse. Is he a globalist in sheep's clothing? I don't know. I just don't trust much of anyone that central in the DC power structure that long. But, even if he is some kind of trojan horse, he's still likely to be better than all the rest.
Are you sitting down?
I agree with you.
I like Mark. He is a kid, but a smart one with lots of common sense and a grasp of the issue and knows the difference between right and wrong.
Stevenson was great on the gun issue, but he loved to spend the taxpayers money and for a man who is 6'5", he didn't have the spine to do anything that didn't have leadership's approval.
I agree.
That should have been in the Constitution.
And, as funky as it might sound . . . I also think it should have been enshrined in the Constitution that those running for Federal office must be vetted first as amongst the MOST
1. HUMBLE,
2. WISE,
3. giving, and
4. servant-hearted
of all the leaders of any time in their locale.
It's long past time when the earth can well afford--certainly when our Republic can well afford to have ego-maniacs and power mongers for "public SERVANTS!"
Amen!
The only advantage of a RINO over a Rat is that a RINO can sometimes be coerced into the party fold on important votes with promises of committee seats or threats of removal. In the primaries, vote your conscience. In the General Election, vote for the best remaining candidate.

With power mongering super traitor globalist idiots like Shrillery et al running around very threateningly loose and growing every way and chance they get--your point above is a very crucial one.
Since 9/11 we have been told we will be protected. no terrorist will get us. Thenw e find out the back door is off the hinges and told not to worry about it.
Pres Bush just doesn't get it!
No, they speak English. Sometimes a little broken, but English none the less.
No, he doesn't. The border should have been sealed immediately after 9/11.
Wonderful to read about such effective grass roots conservatism.
Thx
I get my red and blue confused sometimes, it seems like we should be blue not red.
Just out of curiosity, Why? Didn't the Republicans pick Red?
