Sure, it boosts performance. Just like Steroids does. It covers up problems.

That's true. He probably had no cameras back at the barn, they were all at Barbaro's barn.

She really is lovely

I just started taking lesson this past fall, always wanted to learn to ride

Started Western, now I am doing English, learned to post in no time flat!

Last lesson was the best, it has all finally come together, feels natural

Missy (Quarter horse) knows it too and responds to me now like a "rider" instead of a "newie"

She is such a good girl, always looks out for me

No problem. Just the opposite. Legal in Md., not in Ny. Come to think of it, it may be legal in Ny. now. I'll have to check.

Excellent! You can ride western if you learn English, but it doesn't work so well the other way around!

Actually, he's been a Catholic priest since the early 90s at least. His grandmother was Catholic, IIRC, but the family tried to hide that skeleton. He stumbled upon her rosary beads when he was about 8, and felt mysteriously drawn to them. Tried to ignore what he felt, became a minister, husband, and father, but that feeling just wouldn't go away. Long story short, left the Episcopal priesthood and became a Catholic priest instead.

Maybe he DID choose to leave the Episcopal church, but I like to think that the Holy Spirit (and the Catholic church) chose HIM.

Yes, very somber. Nobody was cheering as he winner passed the wire. It was so quiet. Of course, Castellano had no idea, since Barbaro's injury happened behind him. He was pumping his fist in victory.

After the race, the winner walks by my section and everyone claps. This year, only me and a few others did. Very sad.

And the poor jockey probably still didn't know why.

very sad - it would have been great to see Bernardini and Barbaro go head to head. Two fantastic horses. Prayers for his recovery.

"Prayers for his recovery."

Yes. If they can keep him calm and keep the weight off...big ifs.

Well, if you want the right answer, ask the right question!

Yes the favorite, Barbaro, broke a rear leg in two places, too soon to tell if efforts to save him will be successful.

Story here: 462

My question was "Do they know yet what happened?"
That's pretty much to the point.

Man, you horsey folks do like yur squabbling.
No need to respond, I'm off this thread!

Sorry, but "what happened" was both known immediately, that he broke a leg, and yet is still very much in the air, ie, what happened to make it break and what will happen to him now. It's too soon to tell "what happened".

No need to respond

But it's my pleasure!
