From Combat Camera and dated May 19, 2006 ...

Today a Ramp Ceremony was held for Captain Nichola Goddard, 26, who had been serving in Afghanistan with the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry. She was a member of the 1st Royal Canadian Horse Artillery (1RCHA), based in Shilo, Manitoba. She is the first Canadian female combat soldier to be killed in action since the Second World War.
