Police are investigating two women in their 70s who they believe hatched a scheme to offer two homeless men shelter, then collect more than $2 million in insurance policies after they were killed in hit-and-run crashes.
Police also believe the women may have committed the accidents and were befriending other men to set up more insurance policies.
Anyone would think that even though theyre making financial gains for this, that they would leave the actual dirty work to someone else or hire someone, police Detective Dennis Kilcoyne said. Were not so sure about that anymore. ... This is pretty evil.

I watched this plot on Law and Order last week. What? You mean they had a plot in which a murder didnt take place inside a Church? And the murderer wasn't a Catholic Priest or Conservative Republican?

A woman in Sacramento, CA did exactly this in the 90s. Eight bodies were found on the premises, in the ground.

Their "Apple Brown Betty" is to die for.
Not quite...
...Police still do not know who was behind the wheel when the men were killed, but they have not ruled out either woman as a suspect.
"Anyone would think that even though they're making financial gains for this, that they would leave the actual dirty work to someone else or hire someone," Kilcoyne told the Associated Press. "We're not so sure about that anymore."
