May 19, 2006 -- ALBANY - Two-term Rockland County Assemblyman Ryan Karben, a rising star in state Democratic politics, abruptly resigned yesterday amid what sources said were allegations of improper sexual approaches to young male Assembly interns. Karben's sudden and unexpected midyear departure shocked many of his fellow lawmakers, but several others - claiming that Karben was under investigation for some time for the alleged improper contacts - said they were not surprised.

Were they "interns" wearing a thong?
LOl! Rising star. That was the same term used to describe a gay man who ran against Congressman Shaw (R-Florida).
The rising star was even given speech time during the Democratic convention, and he raised a lot of money to unseat Shaw. Then the campaign became too much work for the gay man, and he was hospitalized for 'exhaustion' during the last weeks of the campaign.
Needless to say, Shaw won reelection.
The premise now is that everything is illegal, but we only charge the "right people." That being said, it is surprising that a RAT is being hassled over this.
We can win this seat . . . especially in a special election.
Wow... he must spend hours shaping those eyebrows. Does he do drag for his evening job?
Rockland County is a cesspool of Democratic corruption. I know Hillary's campaign person from there was convicted of something or other, and then there's that Orthodox Jewish town that suspiciously voted for her by 99%, or something close to that?

The New Square community does not allow any sub-groups to form that would undermine the homogenity of Skver. It is for that reason that no other schools, synagogues, or even private minyanim are allowed.
In recent years, a number of scandals plagued the community. Government allegations of fraudulent colleges with bogus student bodies set up to extract PELL grants, which would benefit the schools and institutions, bristle the community. Convictions were handed down against four community members, who received prison sentences ranging from two to six years. Charges of anti-Semitism and overzealous prosecution led to an eleventh-hour clemency by President Bill Clinton shortly before the end of his term in office, after he was visited by the community's Rebbe, Rabbi David Twersky.
Media allegations followed, suggesting that a quid-pro-quo was arranged with Hillary Clinton, who subsequently received about 99% of the vote in New Square. Investigations have not uncovered any wrongdoing, and the matter was dropped.
Evil is good and good is evil....the slippery slope to society's destruction continues!
