re :Again, presumptuous, aren't they?

So would you be, if your economy was dependent on all that US greenbacks flowing into your nations coffers, and at the same time you can export your poor and dispossessed North.

From the Mexican Governments point of view its either win win or lose lose.

If the border was tightened up to stop the flow and the illegals kicked out, it would

1) Halt or limit the flow of US dollars to Mexico.

2) A lot of Mexicans with there bright northern future cut of and no future under the present regime may/will turn to violence riots anarchy.

Maybe it is for this reason and not because certain Republicans want a source of cheap labour that Bush is not acting as hard as he should be.

Maybe those in command are afraid of what a destablised Mexico may mean to the United States.

If indeed the flow is halted, it should act as as a stimulus for Mexico to get their house in order. There is simply no excuse for a country so well endowed with manpower and resources to be as poor as they are...corruption and lack of reform are inhibiting the country's ability to become wealthy.

As opposed to a destabilized US? Which is exactly what they're going to get if they allow this invasion to continue unabated, and ignore the vast majority of actual citizens.

I know DC can be stupid, but there's something afoot, there's got to be for them to ignore the demands of over 200 million Americans in favor of a foreign 3rd world nation with just over 100 million.
