If indeed the flow is halted, it should act as as a stimulus for Mexico to get their house in order. There is simply no excuse for a country so well endowed with manpower and resources to be as poor as they are...corruption and lack of reform are inhibiting the country's ability to become wealthy.

One hopes, it can go either way.

I am not an expert on Mexico or the present administration but it has a history of civil war, military coup, political and economic corruption and political assassinations.

I am not sure what the current US game plan is.

But in each scenario of a Mexican Civil War, the US army is sent into intervene.

Of course this was during the Cold War, I have no idea what the game plan is now.
