You know, I don't watch any baseball, but with a ballsy attitude like that, I might have to go there and check it out!

If there is a Minor League Baseball team in your area, you gotta go. It's the best thing going ... a promotion every night.
The West Michigan (Grand Rapids) Whitecaps have a mascot named Franky The Swimming Pig. Franky has a life preserver around his waist and is named after the team's roast pork sandwich, which is swimming in gravy. Not a whole lot of Muzzies at the Whitecaps games.

Funny thing is, the idiot who filed the suit (Michael Cohn) is a psychologist. Gender issues, maybe?

I don't live very far from Altoona - I'm in Indiana County. A friend of mine was going to a game recently (Indiana County night) He said they always have a great time when they go. Looks like a trip to Altoona is in order!

Agree. Minor League Baseball is wonderful. Best entertainment value out there - especially for families.

Nothing yet on
the Curve's website, but here's the Angels giveaway bag:
Hardly worth going to court over.

The interesting thing is the City of Anaheim was considering suing the team for changing its name to the Los Angeles of Anaheim because Anaheim spent so much money on the stadium and other things.
Minor League owners are cool ... Major League owners suck.

Takes a guy from AZ to let me know what's going on in my backyard. I love going to Curve games. The stadium is wonderful. not a bad seat in the place.
sneakers, intelligentsia....We should have a Freeper Altoona Curve night for that game.

I think this is the second time I've seen an Altoona story on FR and figured you should be pinged. At least the stories happening in your backyard are cool.
