VIRGINIA BEACH-Religious broadcaster Pat Robertson is warning that, according to God, storms and possibly a tidal wave will pound America's coastline this year.

Oh no! you're "judging me"
tsk tsk!
You don't know me, my fruit or my heart. So I'll leave you in peace to contemplate your own heart. I'm sure you think that needs no contemplation, but ......
:D
I think you are well spoken and well written and I appreciate your open, learning spirit. I can see listening to what you have to say.
Thank you for your post.
trussell, thanks for the feedback.
Praying for you here.

I'm afraid I must respectfully disagree here

I think one of the key issues is
It appears that you missed the "one of the key issues" part in the first 8 words of my post. Perhaps you could reread it with those words in mind.
IF
you seriously think I'd even consider input from any mortal (or angel, for that matter), which I found to be contrary to Scripture and sound Scriptural doctrine, then I am a much poorer communicator than I thought. It's just that I assume such things as a foundational given. I don't always feel I have to shove foundational givens in the face of folks I assume to be Bible based believers.
Dang. God doesn't tell me nuthin'
He keeps me pretty much in the dark on his "plans", but Pat is a sick old man who certainly should have retired about two years ago. I am so sick of his nonsence. It seems every other week he is saying something ridiculous.
Oh, I think my best is chronically short of God's highest. I merely earnestly work toward the mark of the High Calling. I have not presumed to have attained much at all. Besides, whatever is worth more than used toilet tissue in and about me--God has wrought it all.
God will tell you a lot if you read the Bible. As for disasters, those will always occur as long as this world is under the curse of sin and death.
Personally, I like Pat Robertson. He has done more to help people in their daily lives through his various charities than all his critics combined. I would very careful about ridiculing him. And he has consistently supported conservative postions on the issues.
If these posts are any indication of the level of spiritual darkness that has now consumed the conservative movement, we are in more trouble than I ever imagined.
Just interested. Are you saying that if there was no sin...impossible task from somebody that supposedly reads the Bible. But I will throw you a bone on that and ask you that there would be no more storms if there was not any more sin? Second, he might do some good, but not in awhile and he certainly is lining his pockets pretty well. He is a millionaire a few times over by the way. How could you defend him? Why are you defending him? Don't you think that in actualilty he is hurting the conservative movement rather than helping. You are talking about intelligent people who are realistic. What kind of person are you? I am not trying to be mean or sarcastic just wanting more of your thinking pattern and why you at this point are the only one that does not mind him saying these outlandish statements. Every year there are hurricanes. Why does he have to say anything on that? Maybe I just don't get it and you are the one who knows more than I do.
Thank you Jocko...doing better today. :)
You're the one with the issues.
I have previously heard these predictions from AccuWeather; the History Channel; the Discovery Channel; the Geography Channel.
Is he plagarizing:-)?
Rainbow flags
I did not know that God did not like Rainbow Flags. Where is this in the Bible. Please give reference. Thanks.
Maybe I just don't get it

Certainly a plausible possibility.
Tell me my "issues". Go for it.
My point is that he predicts (In the name of God) all sorts of retribution on those who he believes have violated the laws of the All Mighty.
This he claims was told to him by God himself.
I'm not buying any of it.
Did God send a meteor or any other catastrophic event to that City?
I hope God has more things to worry about then this kind of nonsense.
Sad to say the only parallel I can find is he's as delusional as Jimmy Carter.
I know what you mean, Roberson said God told him to run for President, but God neglected to tell me to vote for him. Evidently I wasn't the only one not to get the message.
Guys like this are such an embarassment.

Here you go:
Among the traditions at CBN and Regent is a New Years chapel service at which Robertson shares God-given insights about events in the future. A Regent news release last year said Robertson revealed messages from God he received in a prayer retreat.
...
Robertson declined The Virginian-Pilots request for comment this week except on the question of whether he speaks as a political commentator, ordained minister or in a prophetic role.
His answer was, 'All of the above, Watts said in an e-mail.
I stand by what I said before. I believe Pat Robertson is a false prophet, a money-grubbing scoundrel, a bootlicker of the most loathesome sort of tyrant, a liar, a whore, a thief and a minion of Satan. May this foul parasite burn forever in Hell.
