It's Tony Time. He's talking about the themes of his speech tonight to the RNC. Terry...first question on Sessions amendment. Not commenting now on particular amendments, but glad the Senate is moving with dispatch. We'll wait until we have the package. Border security is designed to put on the ground what is needed at particular places. Put the appropriate resources at the places where they're needed.
Hayden not doing the NSA briefing today. It will be the current director of NSA.

For those of you without streaming video (or whose streaming video already has Rush), XM Radio 132 C-Span has got him clear as a bell and unfortunately David Gregory, clear as a bell.

David Gregory should STFU about conservatives. I don't need nor want him attempting to speak for me.

Exactly ... as THESE threads prove there are a VARIETY of opinions on immigration even amongst Conservatives.

Somebody asked him what he said. He answered bupkus b-u-p-k-u-s. At least, I think that's how he spelled it. Will have to go to transcript when it's posted to verify.

Gregory: No one came around to the President's SS initiative. What will he do to bring them around on the immigration issue. On SS, there was widespread apprehension in all areas of congress to take it on.
Rove on the Hill today. Meeting was not contentious. Members of the House appreciate hearing where the President stands. House and Senate will have to reconcile their positions. Do not assume that all positions are chisled in stone.
