LOUISVILLE, Ky. A Louisville publisher will face incumbent Anne Northup in the Third District congressional race in the fall.
John Yarmuth defeated Iraq war veteran Andrew Horne in tonight's primary for the Third District. The third is made up of Louisville and Jefferson County.
With 80 percent of precincts reporting, Yarmuth had 54 percent (22,759) of the vote, to Horne's 33 percent (13,834).
Northup -- a Republican -- has held the seat for five terms. Yarmuth publishes LEO, a weekly alternative magazine.
Two other candidates in the Democratic primary, James Moore, an engineer, and perennial candidate Burrel Charles Farnsley combined for about 14 percent of the vote.
Maybe they're afraid the fighting dems are Republican plants. What better way to win an election than have candidates on both sides of the aisle?
Another Dem Vet goes on their used list.
Inside Politics: 'A little too cute' (Democrats 'Iraq vet' strategy could be coming up short)

This generation of Democrats don't like vets.
To see just what it is that so intrigued the Rats in the Ky Primary to defeat a Veteran go here http://www.aan.org/gyrobase/Aan/ViewCompany?oid=oid%3A45.
A shower afterwards may be in order.
SCOTT, KATHY (REP) 46
SHERWOOD, DON (REP) 44
Does anyone have a better link for results?
Nothing showing with your link.
I can only think of one of Howard Dean's vets (Tammy Duckworth) who has won so far. And in her case, the moonbats got so pissed off at the party's support of her instead of their nutbar candidate that a lot of them are going to sit out the general in November.
Patrick Murphy's winning in the Pennsylvania Eighth District.
I read it and threw up a little in my mouth.
Im not a big fan of Don Sherwood, but this Kathy Scott sounds like a Democrat.
If Yarmuth wins the Democrat primary, Republican Anne Northup will almost certainly win the general election.
Yarmuth is by far the more far-Left candidate. No way he beats Anne in the general. I live in Louisville and the silent majority is conservative, despite the quite vocal moonbat squadron who back Yarmuth.
Is this one of those thinly-veiled fag mags?
"Yarmuth is by far the more far-Left candidate. No way he beats Anne in the general."
This is why I think the Republicans keep the House and Senate in '06. It's not that the Republicans are good, so much as the Democrats are so bad that anyone halfway sane can beat them. So in a generic, people may say they will pick the Democrat, but once folks are given a choice between an actual Democrat and an actual Republican, there is no choice but to vote for the Republican.
Ann , you are rehired
More or less... Lots of ads for gay and porn stuff in the back.
She soon toned that rhetoric down and said she's wanting to spend money on education and health care.
Be a shame if she wins because she betrayed the troops still fighting with her comments.
