They may as well put TV cameras in the room and allow Katie Couric to do play by play.

is now rope-a-dope. The Senate is going to look really stupid when it all leaks out. Besides, thanks to the NY Times, the program is worthless and we have moved on to other things. Let them look at the waste product.

...will now become a gushing torrent. Is he nuts...or is this some kind of Rovian setup? I'm hoping for the latter.

I have an extensive International Oxygen Consumption program underway. I and scores of my friends, associates, and neighbors regularly breathe air that was once part of foreign airspace.
I wonder what ROOTERS and the Lame-brain Media would say about it. Actually, they're a part of my diabolical plan, too, but don't tell them unless they become hostile.

This will be another Congressional dog and pony show with the typical end - it's Bush's fault, screw America if it will give the MSM and the Dimocraps more top crow about.

Huge mistake. . .and worse. . .capitulation.
Allowing Demrats to serve on committees dealing with national security is an even bigger mistake. . .
We will pay. . .for all the above.

Let them look at the waste product. You have it exactly right - The WH has been wanting this debate (in this platform I suspect) for some time now. I'm fine with that.....but they better come out fighting and defending their positions / actions from day one. I do not want false premise after false premise (WMDs the only reason we moved on Iraq, for example) to be set by the MSM before this WH responds.

If there is a leak after this meeting we will know who. IF there is a terror attack afterwards that may be attributed to the leaker. The democrats will be destroyed. I sense a Rovian master stroke! Now we know why they want that rascal indicted!
To: LSUfan
They must be confident that it will be good for the Republicans.

You have it exactly right It does happen. LOL.
Seriously, how better to keep this issue the primary subject throughout the summer? Keep the Dems playing on our turf. Every time they open their mouths, they confirm RNC talking points. Dems are weak on security, and the more they bitch, the more that notion sticks to them like flies on $hit.

Agreed - With that said I simply want to see a more offensive minded WH - Taking the fight too the DEMs on national security and the economy -

The other nice thing about this, is that when the Democrats start trying to hammer Gen. Hayden over the program, he can look up at them and say, "Gee Senator, you were briefed on that just yesterday, so why are you asking me, bitch?"

The White House, under political pressureExcuse me for being blunt, but who whacked of W's cajones? He had them on 9/11. He had them at Saddam's spider hole. But after that... I'm being perfectly serious. He's totally different. It's like an invasion of the body snatchers. He's not the man I voted 4 times for; twice for Governor of Texas and twice for POTUS.
