I don't think it's so much illegals as just plain immigrants, legal or no, from Latin America. I've driven in Bogotá and Caracas, and you can see that insane style of driving has crept into the culture here in Miami.
True enough. Have you driven in Quito lately, or some of the mountainous back-roads?

My husband took a business trip to Miami about 8 months ago and told me that people drove extremely erratically and would do things like honk for no reason, blow through red lights, etc. And that pedestrians would just run across the street whenever they could - it sounded scary!
