Mad Mullahs

Sounds like a Muslim version of Wal-Mart.

"Have we gone mad? We are slashing prices down at Mad Mullahs. Bring the whole family. The first 100 kids through the door get a free bomb belt!"

No, sort of like an early Iron Mike pay per view fight. Spectacular, but over to quick to be worth 50 bucks

If he doesn't sell them to Iran, look for F-16's with propellers going towards Florida at 10 knots

"American Protectorate" I don't want to be responsible for those retards. Make them a state controled by iraq and really piss them off.

Silly gesture on the part of silly Hugo; if silly Achminedajad buys them, they would be matched up against F-22's which would kick their butts at least 99% of the time. After 4 - 5 engagements, Iran would not send their planes up to attack.

Additionally, of course, we don't know what the U.S. has available from its development programs. Remember, we didn't know about the stealth a/c until they had already been flying for a couple of years.

"The VENAF F16's are poorly maintained. They are at about 40% readiness."

I was in the Navy, monitoring NVN TacAir during the period '68 -'70. I went back and worked for a few years in the mid-90's including Hai Phong, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh. I kept wondering where the MIG's were; I saw a few every now and then in each of the above cities' airports. Then, once, I was flying from Hai Phong back South with a connection in Da Nang. While I was in the terminal, I looked out at the tarmac and there were all the MIGs, arranged just like a Commie would neatly arrange them, and obviously maintained just like a Commie would maintain them, piss poor.

"And the pilot would be back in time for morning coffee break........."

I suspect a lot of these pilots would set course for 20 - 30 degrees North, engage afterburner and beat feet for Afghanistan then surrender to the Allied forces. He would then have coffee with them and bitch about how weak their coffee was.

I tend to agree with the assessment that we should probably HOPE the Iranians will by these planes, and become mired in the maintenance costs.

That being said, you would think some black ops agency would add in extra chips and boards to all of these export planes that, with a single encrypted signal from a satellite, could fry all the avionics on these planes. You would think.

30 year old aircraft don't fly themselves. Being able to fly them straight and level just makes them easy targets.... assuming they ever get off the ground. Iraq proved what 1st world planes can do in the hands of 3rd world pilots in the first Gulf War.... Run Away!!

Same same.

Commies then - Commies now. Spend the $ to buy the hardware, but forget about fixing them to keep them up.

Oh yeah, These F16's of Captain blowhard are AT LEAST 4 revs. obsolete, if not more.

Well if it gets too bad down there, we apparently have room for another 200 million in the US.

Oh sure they can, you just have to make sure you jam the rocket far enough up their arses that it stays.

Not necessarily a bad thing. I don't think I trust Venezuela with them, either.
