Sorry no link for this. This is breaking right now. I called up the Thai Air Force PJs and they have no information yet.
A military C-130 transport went down in Thailand about 30 minutes ago. The crash is in Sa Kaew province close to the Cambodian border. They are saying on the news that it might be a US C-130. The yearly Cobra Gold joint exercise started yesterday. I will update this thread as I get more information.
Thank you for posting this. Prayers for those aboard.
prayers up sir .
is it raining there?
Keep us posted please.
It is overcast here in Bangkok but not sure about the weather conditions where the crash took place. We have talked to various friends in the Thai AF and the first they heard about the crash was our phone call. This is leading us to believe it might be a US, Indonesian, or Singapore C-130. Still no additional news.
I'll watch these links:

Local news still doesn't have any hard facts yet. They are reporting that a local villager said he say the plane flying very low and after it passed out of his sight he heard a very loud explosion.
All Thai Air Force C-130s have been accounted for. From what my contacts have told me, Thailand is still trying to figure out who's responsibility it is to go do the search for the plane. Typical...
I take it this is the 25th annual exercise:

In summary, it says the crash took place in Sa Keaw province in the mountains. The forestry service is trying to get to the crash site but it will take about three hours to get there.
The TV news has reported the US is saying that all US aircraft are accounted for, although there are rumors going around that it might be American. No additional news yet.
Thank you for staying on top of this story.
I've been snooping around the web and have found nothing.
Thank you killjoy.
I appreciate the update.

I'll wait for another source beside the Xinhua News Agency on this.
Haven't seen anything on Bloomberg.
I was a USMC KC-130 Loadmaster with 2nd and 4th MAW. I know unit I was attached to has participated in Cobra Gold in the past.
Anymore word on this?
