I searched but did not see a thread already open for tonights speech. I think this is the most important speech the President will probably make for the remainder of his term.
Mod Note:
This could turn into a whack-a-troll thread. All immigration trolls that would like to participate should post here. It'll be interesting to see if we mods can whack the trolls faster than they can sign up new accounts.

What did Reagan do , give them amnesty? What did Clinton do nothing? President Bush is finally doing something!I as always am proud of him. Great president, good speech , as usual he scores again.Wasps who think they own America, to the back of the bus. Latinos well too bad you got to come here like me dad did , legal.Ellis island is always a place to start.
LOL! I have forgotten baseball since moving here but your answer made me laugh anyway.
Take care. :)
First he says we are a nation of laws, then he TOTALLY ignores the laws on cracking down on employers. I for one don't buy it. The flood of illegals in the coming months will be all out. I am not impressed by his speech. Sure, it sounded good unless you listened closely. There were a lot of holes left wide open.
Good thing you did, because it only lasted about 30 seconds!
Nice Phil, hope it doesn't get removed!
-you mean a troll posted it? LOL
I really want to know where you get the Kool-Aid or whatever drugs you are taking.
That speach will cost 45 seats in the house Mr. BUSH.
Impeachment will take place 3-6 months are that.
Tancredo and Peter King on OReilly. neither are buying it.
How many other folks groaned with the "guest worker" program. I'm pretty sick and tired of the "corporate welfare" paid with my taxes to emergency rooms, schools and other civic services. The thought process for the "War on Drugs" is to ignore the low-level dealers and focus on the kingpins. Well, how about such illegal immigrant "dealers" as Tyson Chicken?
And ANY guest worker program must be temporary. That too he said.
Well after his amnesty with 50 to 100 million more immigrants, we wont need a guest worker program unless they will be working in our nonstop welfare office giving us taxpayers money away...
Did he say anything about eliminating the welfare state and reforming the anchor-baby law? Yeah, I didn't think so.
Meaning: No Immigration Bill without the "It's Not Amnesty" amnesty paragraphs included.
Secure our borders first.
Then we'll debate the Amnesty by any other name is still Amnesty stuff.

Disagree. His proposal will not stop the flow of illegals into the US. We don't need the same kind of security for the Canadian border. Canada has a system of controlling and enforcing immigration. There is not the same wealth disparity between the US and Canada, Nor does Canada have the same problems as Mexico in terms corruption and demograhpics. We need more physical barriers on the southern border.
What about the ones that have been here for 10 and 20 years and have children and grandchildren. Should we throw them out? It is not realistic to round them up and send them home. What do you people want him to do? Not you jackv :)
Chris Matthews is knocking everything about President Bush so it must have been a great speech.
why?
No troll at all, a regular good Freeper and it was only a screen capture of the President during his speech.
Being born in this country by parents who were born from LEGAL immigrants. Not rushing to get across the border illegally so a baby can be dropped and open up the free buffet. How did you become a citizen? Notice the difference LEGAL verses ILLEGAL! Why is that such a logic problem?
