I searched but did not see a thread already open for tonights speech. I think this is the most important speech the President will probably make for the remainder of his term.

I would point out that Mexico was able to "deport" 12 million of it's citizens with little more effort than printing a "howto" comic book.

Well, the apology was appreciated, quite rare. And I will admit that Bush is conservative on some issues, but the illegal immigration issue is an empire killer. All other goals will be swamped if you have another 50 million uneducated and socialistic illegals added to the voter pool, and that is where Bush's current plan is headed despite the spin put on it.
"Well, I appreciate your time, and we look forward to showing the great results in having the National Guard down there." Rah! Rah!

Deport 'em all ... and let God sort out their worth to him. That is none of our concern ... just as I doubt that God takes a proprietary interest in the nuts and bolts of how we run our country.Treat 'em compassionately and humanely? Sure. We should transport them back to Mexico seated in a bus --- rather than hiding under a dashboard, or locked in a trunk, or by making them run through the countryside like vermin, as they were when they entered this country. Beyond that ... well, there is no beyond that. They are Mexicans. Send 'em back to Mexico and make certain that they stay there.

There is more to it than that. No one, no president, no congressman ... no one on either side of the border ... is, apparently, willing to close down not only the free flow of illegal aliens ... but also is not going to close down the free flow of illegal drugs. It is big business, big corruption ... there is far too much at stake for far too many corrupt politicians and others.While they keep people busy thinking about the traffic in illegal aliens ... their passion is not directed at the flow of illegal drugs. It's all smoke and mirrors. And, all dangerous.

And, if you are able to read my earlier post with an open mind, you will see that I have not suggested a lack of compassion for the hordes of illegal aliens. All I have suggested is that they be sent home and that the sovreignty of our nation be preserved from invasion.

We too could deport all these illegals if the Congress decided to prosecute employers who hire illegals. We could print a little, one page flyer with the law on it. Even cheaper than a booklet. Heh.
