I searched but did not see a thread already open for tonights speech. I think this is the most important speech the President will probably make for the remainder of his term.
Mod Note:
This could turn into a whack-a-troll thread. All immigration trolls that would like to participate should post here. It'll be interesting to see if we mods can whack the trolls faster than they can sign up new accounts.

Which jobs? This will not be addressed. If you are a carpenter, a dry wall guy, a plumber.... add [your skill/profession here]. Well, let's really open this up then, maybe we see illegals running for office, let's listen to and examine their platforms. Could be some are diamonds, and Congressional wages begin to suffer. Hell, we could get a Senator down to 35K (base, before the various bribes). Taxes drop immediately as the cost of government becomes much cheaper.
(/sarcasm)
That's right,.... we need a larger ghettoized proletariat, so we can have Marxist demonstrations in every town, NOT JUST MINE.
I can't wait for all the new commie-socialist voters. Their first vote will probably be to shut down internet forums.
Um, what you said is already on the books. Illegal to enter the country illegally. Illegal for employers to hire illegals. Um, done, done, and yet, here we are. So your fixes are things that have already been done, and don't work. Bueller??? Bueller???
"We'll look at that on an evolving basis as we continue to work through those issues within the department, but we think there is some flexibility that we can look at for the land border, which is really where we have the most challenges in terms of facilitating a great number of people and doing so in a way that doesn't slow things down too much."
You can see by this bureaucrat's presentation just how much gets inserted in legislation, behind the scenes and with little or no public discussion or awareness.
You can also bet that "facilitating a great number of people and doing so in a way that doesn't slow things down too much" is their main priority; not insuring we will ever get a "temorary" visitor out of the country once they are here, or insuring the national security issues get adequately addressed for all those "great number" of people we are trying so hard to allow in.
I beat.

About the Council on Foreign Relations??? Ofcourse they are accurate...The origin of the Federal Reserve??? The documents show they are accurate...
But if I'm mistaken, show me (us)...
If you were President the question would be "can you do what's necessary?" 11 million illegals amounts to 12% of the Mexican population. Do you really think it's a good idea to make citizens out of 12% of a neigboring country? Now take into account that they will be able to bring family members in and make them legal. At three per new citizen that's another 33 million making a total of 44 million or nearly 50% of Mexico's population.
Do you think that's unlikely? When polled 49% of Mexicans said they'd like to come to the U.S. 50% said they'd do it illegally.
The worst proposal, the guest worker program, is a time bomb inside a trojan horse and that is Bush's signature proposal; not the Senate's.
LOL
I believe you're right, it would solve the problem.
Butt.........we don't seem to be getting there.
How? Kemosabe.
Well, been fun, not really, but. Continued posting solves nothing. Previous posting solved nothing. Though since I joined here this is the first time I've been called a Bush-bot and a Bush-hater in the same night. Gotta love people who put emotion before rational thought and fling labels at people they don't even know. Have a good week all. Do your part and defeat a democrat in November. :) Nite.
So Reagan was a tool of the CFR?
"I beat."
Indeed you did. There's hope for you. I must admit I liked your poem on your homepage very much. Well done indeed. Such talents should not unwatched go.
