I searched but did not see a thread already open for tonights speech. I think this is the most important speech the President will probably make for the remainder of his term.
Mod Note:
This could turn into a whack-a-troll thread. All immigration trolls that would like to participate should post here. It'll be interesting to see if we mods can whack the trolls faster than they can sign up new accounts.

The governors of the respective States are the Cincs of their respective National Guard units not on active duty in the US military and can order them to the border at any time. However, they would not have the power to arrest and detain any illegal alien within State boundaries. That is the responsibility of the Border Patrol and other federal agencies responsible for border control, such as the Coast Guard. I do not believe the President has any intent to militarize the border.
Same plan as 20 years ago, we were promised no more amnesty. These illegals have no business being given citizenship period.
I wonder what the polls will say in the next few days... I don't think the President has bottomed out yet. I think he's lost a lot of support from the base yet again. He should have stopped his speech after Point #2.
"Lou Dobbs is so upset he is shaking..."
Oh, well, if Chubbs is "shaking," all us Bush supporters will have to reconsider! Seriously, when I want Chubbs' opinion, I'll give it to him.
You just made more sense than 80% of the posters here!
Did you know that rabid dogs do that? ;)
ROFL. Does he know about the Pancho spanish radio contest yet? Money to the illegals who name their newborns after him?
Was the Bracero program started in 1945 "amnesty"?
Dobbs is ready to punch Tony Blankley in the face.
Ah, no, LAW BREAKERS ARE NOT DECENT!!!!
STOP THE SPIN, secure our borders!
So basically we should turn this nation into a armed camp???
Could you define scum? I kind of came in the middle of the thread, so it looked kind of funny to me. :)
King and Tancredo:
"no bill is better then a bad bill"
its open political warfare now within the party - the President is pushing his own party to the brink on this.
Neither am I.
Yes, I know...has a President ever hit a single digit approval rating?
