The enemy Democrat Party runs continuously on that very idea. It's called tax increases and more give away programs.

Of course they say the Republicans give tax breaks to the rich and cut programs, and not middle class tax breaks and cutting the rate of increase.

The "pie" of concern is all the services provided by the government at taxpayer expense. That is a pie we don't want to grow, yet the government is determined to grow it. The flood of illegals is determined to have a hand out for as much of that pie as possible. The illegals consume far more of that pie than they finance through the pittance of taxes levied on their low skill labor. If it gets collected at all.
