Sorry for the Vanity, folks, but I can't believe what I have just seen.
A minute ago, I visited a website called "Democratic Underground". I'd heard fellow FReepers mention it from time to time so I thought I'd take a look.
It's MOONBAT CENTRAL! What a mob of nutbags!!!
Are these clowns for real???

It sounds like you are a candidate for the DUmmie FUnnies PING List. We chronicle their foibles all the time. FReepMail me if you want on that PING List (BIGGEST on the FR).

I once posted a question about hurricane Katrina and the mayor of NO ... I was banded permanently for being to controversial. What I asked was .... was he (the mayor) partly to blame for the lack of proper evacuation of the people.

I went to DUmmieland once.

Guess you weren't 'BANNED' permanently. Maybe it was for severe spelling infraction.

At least there is a little less foul language at FR;) Another comparison..At Free Republic, we have a real sense of humor. Libs have NO sense of humor. Also, At FR, we actually have some intellectual discourse going on. At DU and MoveOn, you will find only rants infused with profanity. Bottom line, Freepers have fun, and we are smart.

"...I was banded permanently for being to controversial..."
Did they actually use the word "controversial?" So everything that isn't deleted on DU is what the moderators deem to be mainstream?
The losers don't even have the guts to just say "You're too conservative for us?" I don't think it's a coincidence liberals are so easily manipulated by mass media. They don't know how to believe something is right or wrong; they simply reject anything they've been told to feel is DIFFERENT.

DU could make any lazy Secret Service officer's life very easy - they could cherry pick the posters there for investigation from threats against Republicans only, and retire with awards and commendations for a VERY busy and fruitful career.
I just laugh when i go there. The underbelly of the liberals is always skeery, until you realize most of them are full of hot air and just vent there - the ones I worry about are the ELF types, that don't post in public, and actually carry out their threats.
The Bay Are is full of DU posters, angry, bitter, unfulfilled ex-hippies and "anarchists" who love to talk and talk and talk, but in the end, signify nothing.
PJ, DU is a goldmine for you. DU Funnies would be VERY amusing. Tread carefully, but carry forth.

There's no shortage of nuts on FR, too, though there are many more reality challenged people on DU.
Whether it's an inability to understand that there is no mandate in the USA to round up and deport 15 million illegals, or a strange belief the USA would nuke somebody if we get hit with WMD ourselves, or my favorite: those that think being principled means turning your brain off at the door and not having to actually think, just rely on a catchphrase or principle to come to a conclusion for you.

The messageboard at your local Air America station is good for laughs, too, or at least a view of the moonbat mind.
Note "The right has a strangle hold on the airwaves" (the
MSM is a Vast Right Wing Conspiracy!!) and that the GOP are "experts at getting elected" (why is that? Better ideas?
Better politicians? Perish the thought!)
Even though the polls are showing that the Democrats are ahead, but there's a long time between now and then. I know that the Republicans are experts at getting elected. Even the fact that they have been screwing the middle and lower class. There are plenty of people who believe that Rush is right about his point of view. That's the real scary part about the whole thing. The right has a strangle hold on the airwaves and they can easily spread their message of hate.
I also suspect that these guys will never give up power willingly. A caller to one of the shows articulated my fear that the October surprise will be martial law on some pretext -- avian flu, another attack, massive protests. I hate to even write these words as it makes my blood run cold. But I have to admit that Randi, Thom Hartmann (sitting in for Sam and Janeanne)and Mike on Friday sounded right when they said they see all the pieces being put in place for total control.
Then yours truly posted (under the name Patrick Kennedy
Driving School) on the WXKS/WKOX Boston board:
>>all the pieces being put in place for total control.
You mean like in Mass. where everyone in office is a Democrat? There's total control for you. Patrick
Kennedy for president--the most sober Kennedy yet!
