Conservative Republican Rep. Tom Tancredo nails it again. Rep. Tancredo enjoys a
100%, "Best and Brightest rating" from the
American Conservative Union. The 89 Republicans on Congressional Immigration Reform Caucus, that Rep. Tancredo formed and serves as chairman, represent the most conservative members of Congress and make up over two thirds of representatives who earned the same 100%, Best and Brightest rating from the American Conservative Union. This rating is based upon a congressman's overall voting record on conservative issues.

I don't think Bush can give a speech that gets the approval of Tancredo. I don't even think Tancredo can give a speech he'd approve of.
He's got the gadfly routine down pat.

Americans are not in a mood to negotiate the matter of regularization for 12 million to 20 million illegal aliens -- That's not what the polls say.
I'm sure Bush will take Tancredo's "do it or else" ultimatum under advisement.

Taking bets on when the Tancredo trashers are going to hit this thread with their unending smears of Conservative Republican Tom Tancredo who enjoys a 100% "Best and Brightest" rating from the American Conservative Union? I say that the first baseless smear of Conservative Republican Tom Tancredo will be posted between post 20 and post 40.

Thank god for Tancredo. He is 100% right when he says
Secure borders are a prerequisite for any new immigration legislation, not a component to be bartered away for increased immigration numbers or new visa rules.
and
Secure borders do not depend on a comprehensive immigration reform package
That is the clearest speaking I have ever heard from a politician. Go get em, Tom!

Mr. President, please, please, please listen to this man. His is the only sensible and acceptable plan out there.

If the President says: "Jobs Americans won't do", He may as well stick a fork in the Republican party because it is done. Don't even mention a "Guest worker program", rather focus on CLOSING the borders. End of speach. Anything less/more will end it for our party and President. This is the most important speach he will make for the remainder of his term in office.

Tancredo does nail it.. especially this: "Secure borders do not depend on a comprehensive immigration reform package that includes amnesty and a new temporary worker program."
One thing to add, after securing the borders, make sure the door still opens southward.
Mind boggling this: "Newt Gingrich has pointed out the amnesty would ultimately legalize up to 36 million"
That would be 1/3 the population of Mexico sitting in our Country!

Too bad the MSM can't be honest and call that 12-20 millions what
it really is: the tip of the iceberg.
Or that calm withdrawal of the ocean before the tsunami really hits.

I hope that Bush as the balls to do the right thing: control the border! No amnesty! Deport all illegals! Then we'll talk about "guest workers"!

No immigration policy is workable without secure borders.
Mr. President, if you want amnesty for your Mexicans, fine. But secure the borders first, and no half measures.
