NEWT!
Unfortunately,Yeah,They Do!
If we do deploy troops on the border, they should be armed and the rules of engagement should be clearly identified so that nobody has an excuse to not know what could/would/should happen.
Still, the most effective solution is to deploy the National Guard to serve warrants on employers in this country who are hiring illegal aliens in violation of all labor laws in this country.
After the illegal jobs dry up, the flood across the border would slow down to a point where the existing border patrol could control the border.
" look at all the Vietnamese who came here in the 80's -- most have made a good life for themselves and their families and the community they formed,"
So true! So True ! And thank you for bringing this to our attention. This country also owes the Vietnamese people after a Democrat Congress sold them out.
Also, let's not forget the Filipino immigrants. As a longtime Hawaii resident (and legal U.S. immigrant Caucasian citizen and veteran myself), I cannot say enough for the humblest, hardest working and most responsibly conscientious people I've ever had the privilege to know. These are the people who clean our hotel rooms, wash our dishes, and do the hardest of back-breaking labor. They thank God they are fortunate enough to live in this the best of countries despite their hard lives. We need more of them (in Hawaii, they are the best ally the Republican Party has).
Our INS regulations are deplorable in the manner in which we treat legal applicants from foreign lands. It took 9 years for one Filipino wife to join her husband in Hawaii, because the U.S. petition process was so atrocious. If I had to deal with INS regs today, I'd consider alternate means myself.
That is like one of the dims having a chart (on the Senate floor, I think) showing the 'deficiet' - how 'high' is was before W, and how it was drastically 'down' after W. Of course there was no mention of 9/11, or the war.
You have painted a HORRIFYING PICTURE that would pave the way for HildeBeast in 08'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
snugs, our two nations share so many of the same problems and issues. It's so helpful to have a place like FR where we can discuss them. Britain is the nation that bore my ancestors, so I say GOD BLESS THE USA AND UK! And Australia!!
Excellent post MNJ!
In addition to being a general wack-job Savage is guilty of this. He is real big on giving GWB a hard time and listing the ultimate Conservative position on everything under the sun but real weak on dealing with the real world as it is. He ought to try it some time.
EXCELLENT idea, A.H.!
There is a lot at stake!!! Just help spread the word..please!
Also in France. Look at the drain the Muslim immigrants has taken on their economy. Didn't we read it was the second generation that was assimilating into their society even less than the first?
Absolutely right!! Oprah's show is on right before the local news in the NYC area. Sometimes if Mr.FF turns on the tv for the news too early, he gets Oprah... and it makes my skin crawl to see that "spirit" graphic go up. eeuuww
I had to laugh when a talk show host said he probably walked in the front door for the cameras and out the back to some cushy resort...
Just a new target for the drive by media...If anyone can take it and do a good job, that's Tony.
Hope you have a great time.
I don't watch her -- or the view, but can't help wondering how many people will stop watching The View with Rosy coming on board?
Agree! Most of the Asian immigrants to the U.S., and the Cubans... accomplish what they accomplish by focusing on HARD WORK. It's not difficult to see who works and who wants freebees.
