I agree, but impressive do anything people like her aside, these kids really need fathers-- not just parents--- to be there.
Somehow society has to restablish a link between sex, procreation and responsibility.
I like that too it shows that she obviously knows and loves her very much and that Mary was not just wheeled out as part of the family for a photo op.

I resepctfully disagree with your position on Newt. I heard him talk rings around Russert and deflect his partisan jabs deftly. This is what we need to change the subject and get on with the process of electing a Republican to continue the job. Newt can certainly contribute and I think that I would vote for him if he was to run for office.
I think Tony Snow's Radio show is now covered by Brian Kilmeade & Judge Napalitano.

Ref your posted suggestions on a previous thread about Securing the Border using National Guard, etc. This is not out of the realm of possibility that your ideas clicked with Tony, and he took the idea to GWB and Voila..I am sure Tony is a lurker and the more info we can post and document with proof so that he just has to click on and run with it the better for Tony,GWB,GOP in general. Every lie,every distortion, every omission to change the entire story, freepers will find and encapsulate for Tony to pick up on and hit back at the Media with their own words. Tony can get 18 hours of work done in about 8 hours with Freeper help and some time spent lurking.
I'm glad I'm not alone in that sentiment (was beginning to think I was); Newt is an imperfect man, but so is everyone else I've seen mentioned as potential candidates... and given a choice between Newt and McCain I'll take Newt.

Hugh Hewitt did an awesome interview with Russert some years ago where he did exactly that-- I bet Duane from his show could put it on RadioBlogger for posterity.

Newt did not become Speaker until 1995 as I recall, because the GOP landslide was in 1994, and he took over in January of 1995. I taped the entire day especially the Gavel bit, and I ruined my VCR forever. It was fried, and I barely was able to get the last tape out.
