No one ever calls him on his stupid statements -- he is an angry, partison, little man and these are the people who should not be in the news business.

JMHO, a lot (not all) would go back if we withdrew social services for illegals and cracked down on employers who hire illegal workers instead of guest workers (who they pay higher wages).

Go back to what? The reality is that we have on our southern border a relatively poor, third world country with a corrupt government, which presides over a population of 107 million people with a median age of 25.3 compared to our 36.5 years. Mexico has a birth rate of 20.7 per 1000 compared to our 14 per 1000 and a fertility rate of 2.4 compared to our 2.1. 40% of the population lives below their poverty line. And conditions are even worse in Central America where many immigrants come to the US transiting Mexico.

What this means is that the pressure for the poor and uneducated in Mexico and Latin America to come to the US will increase in the future. They will come via guest worker programs or illegally. And the numbers will be greater and greater due to population and economic pressures. We can't legislate our way out of this problem. We will need to have secure borders or we will be innundated with illegal immigrants. That's the demographics and the reality we are dealing with.

Illegals from Mexico and the rest of Latin America [and elsewhere] regardless of what we do internally, will be attracted to come here. Being poor and uneducated in the US compared to being there is a no brainer. They want to come to the US and many will do whatever it takes to get here. Many have relatives and friends in the US who will help them along with religious groups.

The same thing is happening now as happened in our past, i.e., immigrants set up their networks and bring folks from the old country into their places of concentration in the US. They act as support groups getting people settled, including providing them with food, shelter, and jobs.

The pressures to get into the US from Mexico and Latin America will be far greater in ten to twenty years. It is a political and demographic reality. You must cut off the supply before you can effectively deal with those who are here

Speaking of Newt on Timmy's show, did you notice that Tim put up one of his beloved little charts to show that the Republicans are spending more than the Dems did?

He totally failed to mention the incredibly booming economy and the huge increase in tax revenue.

Wonder why? Is it don't know, don't tell.

Or, know and rather not tell?

GWB IS NOT RUNNING ANYMORE HE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR PHONY POLLS. SHUT UP!!!
Another interesting symptom of BDS-polls, polls, polls. Does anyone remeber how many polls were touted prior to 2000?

Hit the nail on the head!!

And just like there was no OUTRAGE over the ECHELON program or the other CLINTON ADMINISTRATION " Spying " programs...

There were No " Phony-Polls " that were THEN used in EDITORIALS so as to Write ( make-up) news that They wanted to Force/PRESENT as " news of the day " in their papers/shows!!

Great post!

DAB

P.S.! For all those still onthe radio!-( now don't pas out or anything!!) but Wilkow actually just Took some CALLERS!!!

It got the desired result out of Bill Richardson: The pig is squealing like, well, a pig.

He's not the only one

I've been hearing the whining coming for those is whined and complained the military was needed on the border .. and now think it's a bad idea to put the NG down there

Living in SW and watching what has happened as more and more have come here, I'd have to respectfully disagree with some of your sentiments. It's not as nice and tidy as you describe; I wish it was.

Good morning Mr. Phelps.

The men you are looking at

are reputedly among the stupidest men to have ever sat in the United States Senate.

Their ignorance, their obstinancy, their lack of intelligence and common sense, and to a greater extent, their inability to just shut up, pose a great threat to the safety and security of this nation. This is no longer a condition we can survive as a people.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it... is through all legal means, expose to the voting public these nitwits and the danger they pose... to defeat these men either at the general election or through primary runs or in certain cases through the use of special recall elections and to take power away from them.

Of course, should you or any of your IM Force be caught or killed, the Secretary

will disavow any knowledge of your actions.

Oh... and by the way... ignore this man

He is an impostor.

This tape will self-destruct in five seconds...

Good luck Jim

Who is going to bell the cat? We can come up with all the idealized solutions we want, but are they practicable. Deporting people when they go to the ER won't pass muster with the political leadership. The political will doesn't exist now to do it.

I enjoyed him prior to his own show when he was guest host on Tony's. His show is not on at a good time for me to be at the computer.

Oh, I know it doesn't, though I was suprised to see our, very conservative, local State Senator say he was upset because this was an afront to our Constitutional rights. I would have thought he would get it.
