Gay marriage as an issue is being discussed, and Mary does not agree with the Republican platform (which is not a surprise). HOWEVER, she campaigned in 2004 because she realized how important the leadership of George Bush and her father were for the safety of this country.

Amazing! She isn't a SINGLE-ISSUE person!

Good on the Middle East...not so hot on spending.

The spending issue is a red herring. The Republicans haven't cut spending, but they are not spending much out of the ordinary.

I wish just once, someone would tell Timmy what a manipulative b*st*rd he is.

I know but I got that impression from the media so really makes no difference as Morgan says its better to be corrected than repeat wrong information. Now really must get something to eat before I get a headache.

Oh yeah, I forgot that one, but that was just Bubba being Bubba, hardly noteworthy in the rat party.

Newt was criticizing the last amnesty and the failure of the government to enforce its provisions. [Who was in charge of the House when that bill got passed? uuuhhhhhh... Newt.]

I believe "the last amnesty" happened during the 80s when Reagan was President.  Newt wasn't "in charge" until after the 94 election and his election as Speaker when Congress convened in early 95.

I think Tip O'Neill was still in charge when the last amnesty was passed.  He set the pattern that they're still following.  Agree to anything we want to get their big item and then go back on their word on everything they promised.  They taught this (or learned it from) the Arabs.

In competition for the most annoying tv commentator is that horrid little man on News Watch

I didn't catch News Watch last night, but I knew by "horrid little man" that you must have meant Neal Gabler.

You are correct about the Amnesty in the Reagan admin.
But enforcement by Govt agencies has been conspicuously absent, and Rs have been in charge of Oversight of said Govt agencies since 1994.

Ha.Yeah, Timmy is pretty disgusting.

I think it would be even better if someone would say something about how stupid he looks. He is just goofy looking, moreso because he thinks he looks and is so cool.

Ok, then chew this sunday's Media Nuggets :-)

Major Garrett has been promoted to congressional correspondent. Brian Wilson has been named the permanent anchor of Weekend Live.

###### Houston Chronicle, San Francisco Chronicle, Los Angeles Times, Washington Post, New York Daily News, Newsday, Boston Globe & a dozen other newspapers have all one thing in common. Their circulation is significantly down.

###### James Dobson's "Focus on the Family" show is popular in XM Satellite Radio. Now, Sirius wants to catch up & launching Catholic Radio Channel.

###### Good Riddance -> Ted Turner to Exit Media Industry when he steps off the board of Time Warner on May 19.

###### MSM talks all the time about CEO's big pay takes. When it comes to them they refuse to walk-the-walk. Knight Ridder CEO gets $9.4 Million Severance.

###### TimeWarner has aquired full control of Court-TV and is planning to put Catherine Crier against Fox's Greta Van Susteran sometime soon.
