McCain: Americans can disagree on war

Sen. John McCain, looking to heal a rift with the religious conservatives who undermined his 2000 White House bid, told students graduating at the Rev. Jerry Falwell's university Saturday that Americans have a right to disagree on issues but should maintain respect for each other.

The Arizona Republican specifically referred to disagreements over the war in Iraq during his commencement address at Liberty University. He noted that the war "has taken innocent life," but he said he has stood his ground in support of it because he believed "my country's interests and values required it."

McCain defended the rights of those who disagree with him and argued that "Americans deserve more than tolerance from one another."

Apparently this journalist thinks that McCain was entitled to the Republican nomination...

I well remember the 2000 election. Early in the year, I really didn't know Republican candidate 'A' from 'B', or 'C'. However, I kept hearing the MSM pushing McCain in glowing terms and disparaging Gov. Bush. The 'endorsement' by the media tipped it for me, I voted for Gov. Bush!

McCain: Americans can disagree on war

OK, John, so let's see you push AP, Reuters, CNN and especially tax-funded PBS to do more pieces about people that support the war, the improvements we're making to Iraq's infrastructure, Iraqi girls going to school now, and soldiers re-enlisting in droves (instead of the anti-war pieces they limit themselves to).

John?

John?

"stealth?"

Ha, ha, you got me there. McInsane is actually worse than a stealth liberal, those are just weakling rinos. McInsane has megalomaniacal tendencies like CFR that go beyond party affiliation.

"If he's nominated millions will stay home on election day. Hope the GOP can get enough Dem votes to cover."

Nope. The same people who are currently saying they'll never for John McCain will be singing a different tune come 2008.

"Well, I'm voting McCain to stop Hillary."

Thus the cycle continues.

List of republicans I'll NEVER vote for, period:

John McCain
Rudolph Giuliani
Condoleeza Rice

There are so many good, conservative republicans who are making the moves to run that it's absurd to me personally to even consider the three above.

Americans are extremely poorly informed and saturated with disinformation around the war so how is it possible to logically disagree John MSM McCain?
