Weiner is a certified LOONEY bin, a disaster and embarrassment for the conservative cause, and the most NEGATIVE PESSIMISTIC guy on radio. Are you being negative?

Michael Savage is a fictional character, portrayed by a man named Michael Weiner. He taps into something in the conservative mindset that needs to be expressed. He attacks conservatives on the public stage from an independent, conservative perspective. He also hams it up. That's the gimmick.
Personally, I think Murdoch is a suit and is just hedging his bets. I love the Post (I pick it up from time to time here in LV). I love Fox News, too. That doesn't mean I can't be pissed at Murdoch for hosting a fundraiser for Hilly. I know why he does it, but I still don't like it.
Enter Savage - he has the independence and flexibility to call Murdoch to the carpet. Fills a void on the right.
There is no doubt on my mind that Savage is blacklisted from major media interview outlets. He just exaggerates the effect. It does seem to make him genuinely bitter. I can understand that, though he shouldn't be bitter.
Rush and Sean are almost comically bad these days. GOP $hills all the way. I gotta call it like I hear it. I can take either in limited doses but neither are particularly bright, nor particularly independent minded.
Jerry Doyle is a sober and more reasoned (but no less passionate) version of Savage. He is critical of the GOP when necessary. I like that.
I work at home and am in & out all day, but my radio schedule is Laura Ingraham/Dennis Prager/Mike Medved or Dr Laura/Savage. I listen to Hugh Hewitt and Mark Levin from time to time, too, and enjoy them. All of them have more clarity and independence that Rush or Sean.

I don't get that myself... but, overall, he's been a solid counter-offensive to the lib media.

I'm losing faith and trust in Bush's agenda on this. Your second post to FR back in june of 04 Savage is really over the top today [vanity] was...
Imagine how kissy kissy nice 'compassionate' conservatism as mandated by Bush will sound at our Republican convention. We might as well just let Democrats speak there.
It's just my opinion, but I think you are a liar who has never supported the President. Have a nice day.

You're right, I never liked Bush. His "compassionate" conservatism I always took as a slam on conservatism as it existed before him. There's no need to redefine conservatism that way afterall were we uncompassionate before he came along.
All it meant to me was a bleeding heart liberal core dressed in conservative rhetoric so I remained ever skeptical of him. But he was the Republican standard bearer so, so be it. But just like at the convention conservatives need not apply. And I still feel like conservatives are being taken for granted. Sorry if that bothers you but our uniter not a divider friend is really doing a helluva job keeping his own Party united.
So lets just say that I prefer to always support conservatism first and foremost. And thanks I will have a nice day.

Weiner is a certified LOONEY bin, a disaster and embarrassment for the conservative cause, and the most NEGATIVE PESSIMISTIC guy on radio. I'm sorry you feel that way, for us in Savage Nation, he is a breath of fresh air, does not ass kiss Bush, tells it like it is and for some the TRUTH hurts, maybe some day you'll come round and realize how right on the money he is.

I just compiled by hand a Savage ping list.
Based on what they've written, this is a list of people who like what Savage has to say.
Simple.
If I've put you on this list by mistake, and you don't want to be on it, let me know.
I have just put this list in the May 13 2006 version on my Freep-page.

This list is based on what I interpret to be positive responses to the Savage Nation radio show.

Is there anything that can be done about the childish keywords on every Savage thread? It almost looks as if a bunch of 'tolerant' liberals made a visit.

Good question. I'm not sure how JimRob would handle something like that.
I am ignoring the trolls. However, if someone wants a civil debate, fine, I'll talk. Personally, I think that rudeness in the printed word is just that: rude.
But for some reason, I think an over-the-air discussion on the radio can be more heated and emotional. Maybe that's just me.
I do weary of the people coming onto these threads with imbecilic behaviors. The nice thing about those posts is that I don't have to respond, and I don't have to read them.
An amazing thing is that many of the people who HATE Michael Savage probably listen to him more than I do. (I can't get all three hours every day - I grab the bits I can.)
The people who HATE Michael Savage but still listen to him are certainly in a different mental state from me. If I don't like someone, I don't listen. For example, since the Dubai ports deal, I really cannot take Rush more than just a handful of minutes a day. There is no way that I could listen to him for 3 full hours - like I did for years and years.

As long as Savage attacks Bush, Republicans, Free Market, Capitalism, common sense, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, and just about everything else under the sun, I will continue to attack Der Weiner, any way I can, including on these threads.

You're right, I never liked Bush. Thanks for the response. I'm sorry I couldn't reply earlier but Dubya's crappy economy resulted in a promotion at work that even the illegals couldn't prevent, and I'm working many hours to justify that promotion. I appreciate you admitting you lie to make your argument, and the rest of your comments can be discounted. I'll remember that next time I read one of your posts. "whatisthetruth" is the perfect Freeper name. Have a nice day.

What are you talking about? I said I never claimed to LIKE Bush so where is the lie? I support conservatism and to the extent that the Republican Party does too then they get my vote.
Bush never struck me as a conservative but he pretended to run as one albeit a 'compassionate' one whatever the hell that meant, so I supported him only to the extent that he was the choice of the Republican Party.
However my conservative radar told me he was a fake so no I never liked him. But yes he's a million times preferable to the opposition but if I had my druthers I would prefer a true blue conservative to champion the things I believe in. So are you some Bush-bot or what?
