Greasing the Machine By Jenni Vinson Trejo May 11, 2006

Rupert Murdoch owns a huge media corporation that is based in New York. One of his most famous brain-children is Fox News, the 24 hour cable news station that changed the face of the news business. Prior to the airing of Fox News, the mainstream media set the tone and agenda for the news America was presented.

Fox News set out to be “Fair and Balanced” by offering both ideological sides of any issue. It was an extremely successful venture that catapulted Murdoch’s Fox News into competition and then into surpassing the mainstream giants,(the alphabet sources) ABC, NBC, CBS and CNN.

News coverage was no longer offered with a Liberal slant and the addition of Conservative angles drove Liberals nuts. In the eyes of Liberals, Fox News is Conservative. Any Conservative dilution or addition to the airwaves was too much and any Conservative slant automatically discredited the news presented.

There are plenty of Liberal commentators and professionals who represent their ideology, but Liberals have disavowed Eleanor Clift, Maya Eliason, Juan Williams and their Liberal associates because “they can’t really be Liberal if they are appearing on Fox News and supporting this Conservative news source”.

Personally, Rupert Murdoch is Conservative. Liberals point to that as proof that any project of his would be Conservative as well.

That being said, both sides of the political fence were shocked this week when it was announced that Rupert Murdoch was hosting a campaign fundraising breakfast for New York Senator, Hillary Clinton.

Politics does make for strange bedfellows and this situation proves that. Hillary is Ultra Liberal in all areas of her political makeup. She is said to be socially liberal but fiscally Conservative, but that isn’t true at all. She is true to a Socialist Liberal ideology and her record as a two-term Co-President of the United States and now as a Junior Senator for New York, speaks for itself.

Regardless of whether Rupert Murdoch voted for or even agrees with Hillary Clinton’s politics, she is his representative in the US Senate and being a shrewd businessman who knows that the political machine needs to be greased on a regular basis, Murdoch is doing what he has to do.

Murdoch is a businessman with enough money to afford to follow the addage, “Keep your friends close but keep your enemies closer”. What we see is Murdoch trying to keep Hillary beholden to him. He’s keeping her really close. He’s keeping her in his pocket.

Murdoch is a businessman with enough money to play the political game of swaying favor with representatives. He looked around and set out to purchase the biggest amount of political favor. What does that say about Conservative Murdoch—that he’s a shwerd businessman.

What does this say about Hillary Rodham Clinton?—She’s for sale to the highest bidder. I hope Murdoch knows that Hillary is a high-risk purchase that may never pay off. Liberals need to stop the kniption attack. Hillary is just pretending. She’s really good at that. She can’t be expected to line her campaign coffers with money from the little people. She doesn’t show up for breakfasts or any other fundraiser that sells at less a $1000.00 a plate. We never see her at photo-op pancake flipping events. She needs Murdoch’s money and Murdoch's access to people with equally deep pockets.

Conservatives need to just be happy that Hillary is accepting campaign funds from American citizens this time considering how many Chinese national pockets the Clintons were in to during their presidency.

Having Murdoch helping re-elect Hillary to the Senate is much better than than having him on board to her bid for the Presidency.

A wealthy acquaintance of mine once told me he sends money to both sides, equally. No matter who wins, they will listen to him when the time comes........
