"Culture of Corruption" Strikes AGAIN!.............
I have no idea of the identity of any of my third cousins, except one whom I accidently discovered in a legal matter (he is also a lawyer).
no controlling legal authority.
Criminy, it's WV. We are ALL cousins!
Mollohan was in our town the other night for a banquet. Said his wife was responsible for their income rising so sharply. She's a realtor
and invested in condominiums!!!!! wow, we should be so lucky
Let me guess. The two companies that actually had the expertise to perform under the contract were told that they would get the contract IF they allies themselves with Arrey because his cousin was in congress and had the power to direct to whom the contract would go. So Arrey got installed as a kind of middleman. Arrey then funneled proceeds from that deal into the purchase of real estate properties to enhance the value of Mollohan's business.
3rd cousin? Wow, I would consider that pretty far removed. Guess the rest of the article looks more sinister but how far out can the nepotism stuff extend? 8th cousin 3 times removed or what?
Interesting, very interesting. The DOE contracts were done during the Clinton years under DOE Secretaries O'Leary (93-97), Pena (97-98), and Richardson (98-2001).
Arrey Industries is trying to get involved with the decommissioning of nuclear power plants. This is what The State Journal characterizes as "a slight career change" for its co-founder Joe Jarvis, third cousin of Representative Alan Mollohan, Democrat, West Virginia.
Didn't Duke Cunningham, Republican out of CA, go to jail for this practice? Now a demoncRAT does the same thing and gets a free pass.
Self-appointed clean government crusader Nancy Pelosi, asked about a Culture of Corruption among Democrats, responded with her usual "Well, but that's different....."
What an arrogant POS. Purge the crooks from Congress! All of them!
is this guy going to get charged or what? will this put his seat in play?
Hey, He's a D-rat, that means he's allowed, doesn't it?
You know, he may be right. He may have simply invested at the right time.
Too bad his party uses flimsier evidence to promote their Republican Culture of Corruption campaign.
Meanwhile, Tom DeLay is leaving the house with nothing more than what he brought with him -- no multi-million-dollar nest eggs for Tom. Funny how that "corruption" doesn't seem to have enriched the republicans who were involved.
But the democrats all seem to do VERY WELL financially -- Clinton's 8 million dollar "book deal", her 100x futures trading win, Mollohan's real estate, Mark Warner's company buyout, Al Gore's cushy Google job with stock options a month after he left office....
But republicans? Cheney comes in rich, and pretty much is forced to forgo 8 million dollars of stock options -- and still the democrats lie about his being "enriched" by Halliburton.
The President is involved, bet on it - even if the guy is a Dimocrat.
