Remember the Coptic family that was murdered in Jersey City, NJ?
Their cousin was the translator for the Lynne Stewart (Sheik Rahman's lawyer) trial.
Murder happened during the trial.
That was supposedly just a murder for profit, but frankly, with all the connections, I have never believed that.
The cousin, I believe, was one of the good translators. There's another one - an Egyptian whom I heard at a translation conference two years ago, saying that he regretted he could not "help" the sheik more - who is now reposing in jail. He was the jailhouse interpreter who was smuggling messages, with the assistance of Lynne Stewart, to Rahman's buddies.
