Is this just random ooze leaking out of your ear or is it supposed to have some intelligible meaning?
If he supports the quiet takeover of the US, why would he not support a violent one?
Surely you did not read this as him advocating the Mexican invasion??? This was, you understand, a mock embrace for the purpose of ridiculing what is happening.
Surely you see that, which leaves me totally perplexed as to what you mean.
All you have to do is copy it into Word, Edit>Select all>Format>Change Case>Sentence case and you are 95% of the way to readability. Then do a spell check and 'Change All' on things that need capitalizing. 'Ignore' on things that don't. At this point is is usually 99+% perfect. All this takes about 2 minutes. Seriesly! It's not a hugh problem.
I wouldn't bother capitalizing 'chomsky', though. Even if he did make a decent point.
I read it as him supporting a Communist takeover of the US, not just a Mexican invasion. To advocate the invasion of the US by poor Mexicans, in this way (to force a communist society on to the US), is almost the same as going to Cuba, Mexico, Russia or China and asking them to march in here.
Some people obviously have difficulty with the concept of satire.
I think Governor Lamm likes to be a little provocative.
I am aware that he made some highly controversial remarks on how we handle the end-of-life for our elderly.
I lost my 91-year-old father six months ago but not before the medical establishment put him through nine months of heroic stupidity that probably cost a hundred fifty thousand dollars and, worse, put him through some episodes of EXTREME pain.
Funny thing, he didn't want any of it. He had lost his eyesight, among other problems, and was grateful for his wonderful life but saw that meaningful life was over for him. He would have been delighted to go peacefully to sleep before any of this heroic medicine began.
The only reason he did not take his own life is that he had no means to do so. He had made a plan to take a massive overdose of insulin, but I talked him out of that, because it is a good way to put yourself in a coma but not a reliable way to end your life.
Then we got on the medical conveyer belt. They told him that leaving his bladder cancer untreated would guarantee him a prolonged, agonizing death. And, they said, radiation and chemo work remarkably well now, even for someone so elderly.
He went reluctantly along and ending up with a couple of strokes, episdoes of incontinence, multiple hospitalizations, etc. AND pain. Even when he could no longer talk OR see, we (he, really) had to be very assertive to stop treatment and get into hospice home care.
Then he refused food and medication and still took a month to die. Although he could hardly talk, he was completely lucid and good humored to the last day.
I have become aware that it is fairly common for our elderly to stop eating as their only means of taking control and ending it.
I know that there are many on this board who want to put every dying person through the passion of the Christ before they let them go. I think that Gov. Lamm was advocating something a lot more sensible and humane than what is going on now. We have a huge financial crisis in healthcare largely because of these prolonged end-of-life episodes that the patients often DO NOT WANT.
I'd definitely be willing to listen to what Gov. Lamm was suggesting in this area.
I've thought about that, and the only humane way I see out of it is for the patients to say no.
Actually, I think that Lamm meant that if someone wanted to destroy America, this is how they would do it. He's denounced illegal immigration before.
Caps-Lock makes it all true, you know.
I thought it belonged to George W. Bush.
How did you learn that?
I never read the manual. I am an experimenter. I just go into the menus and look at them and try to figure out what they do. When you click Change Case, it give you choices. I just played around with some text and found out what each did.
Same with spell check. When if gives you a choice, it's usually fairly clear what it does. You have to be careful to read what it is planning to do. Sometimes you end up replacing a word throughout the whole document and you didn't really want to do that.
Once you get it down, you can really fly if you need to change all caps to normal text. Copy out that text and give it a shot. It is actually kind of fun to see it look pretty nice even after the first step. Good luck. Ask if you have questions.
Sorry, just too hard to read.
Try to use lowercase next time.
Snopes clams it is true.
It was originally in upper case letters. Someone figured how to edit it to lower case in comment# 29.
...damn, my eyes are watering reading your caps! No Comments!
I think his is get out of Iraq after May 15th... we'll see how that goes next week.
Didn't he fight in Vietnam?
Thanks. Now thats its legible, I can read it.
I enjoyed it.
